The KSC M9s arn't used much simply because KJW and TM seem to dominate the market. When people think 'KSC' glocks, USPs, and M11s (and occasionally TMPs) usualy come to mind. Thats my take on it anyways.
KSC glocks are rock solid. Glocks in general are about as close to invincible as airsoft guns are likely to get; I've heard many stories. M9s generally have more exposed parts and moving components so naturally they're more prone to breaking.
But if you like M9s and hate Glocks, go with what you like. At the end of the day a few more drops withstood or a few more hundred BBs out of your gun isn't worth the pain of using an airsoft gun you hate. If your indifferent, get the Glock.
Also, Grey's advice is sound. Unless you plan to play CQB exclusively for a while.
