GBB, Bad choice or not?

So many people are talking about the Glocks but I was looking at the KSC Beretta M9 Elite IA. Also Ive only seen a very very few reviews on this gun anywere. Is it just not used alot or are there some issues with it that Im not awafe of?

i havent heard anything catastrophic with the berreta pistols. out this way they are quite popular and have a good reputation for reliability and accuracy (as far as gbb go) i do not own one so i cant give you an in depth review.

Hmmm ok

I had a KJ Beretta. Awesome pistol, only downside was the mags (the KJ ones), they weren't leaking but it seems to me that the reservoir was too small to fire out all 25 rounds or maybe i was hitting the trigger too fast and excess gas was coming out.

But berettas are awesome try holding one they are somewhat of a big gun i mean its no Desert Eagle but can be too big for some people.

Edit: The berretas also have rail on the bottom so you can throw on a light or laser

Well Ive fired Glocks, Desert Eagle and a S & W revolver all RS. But Ive only fired a Glock and Desert Eagle for airsoft. And I like the Glock feel but I HATE the blocky look of the slide for the airsoft GBB's and the berettas have a good look to them though. Thats pretty much the only reason Im going Beretta over Glock lol

I like my Walther's P88 and P99 for .177 pellets....that is why I suggest Walther P99 in airsoft that shoots at just over 330fps

Ooook Im talking about the Beretta M9 though. All the sites I find for reviews have broken links or there discussing the wrong guys in the reviews.

You'll be safe with TM and KSC/KWA (some people consider these to be the same). I personally recommend the TM 5.1 but I understand that nothing will do but a M9. All in all the metal in GBBs can be a downside to performance. I normally like metal everything but a plastic GBB slide cycles faster and/or requires less gas to do so. I guess I should be more specific, when I mean a plastic GBB I mean the slide and possibly the frame is plastic. The slide will eventually break and to tell you the truth, if I could not get a new plastic slide, I would just buy a new gun considering the cost to properly upgrade a GBB to use a metal slide. That and you would get an extra mag if you bought the same gun as you had before. I'm not too rough on my stuff and I carry a 10+lbs gun and 3lbs of BBs so a plastic gun is less to carry and the durability of a metal pistol is unnecessary.

hfc=bad choice!

GBB as your first or only gun, bad idea if that's the case.

i have the kjw m9, and i love it. But as Goodl2ussian said, you wont get 25 rnds, i average 18 from a mag. On a related note, anyone know the croiss compatability of m9 mags from other manufacturers?

Styrak October 14th, 2007 21:26

I know that TM and KJW M9 mags are interchangeable.

Agreed, I have the Silver full metal KJW M9. I fill the mags for about 6-10 seconds with propane, if I fire at a reasonable fire rate, I can usually empty a mag or a mag and a half... I should get a replacement trigger spring so I can shoot it properly once again... anyone got one?

And yes, I like the KJW to death. Awesome piece of machinery.

Cheers,
Alex

Ive heard nothing but bad things from KJW :s
I was on my way to buying a KJW FMU Sig226, but after reading the reviews, i found out KJW mags are little more than a copper tube in a shell prone to mag leaks and temperamental valves. Also with the KJW 226 the TM mags wont fit inside, while TM 226 can fit both (from arnies) I know that 226 is a diff product than M9 but personally i feel that KJW should be avoided. TM makes flawless and time tested products. Its much better in the long run to buy the plastic TM and get a metal kit for it. I dont know much about KSC, so i wont post an opinion yet about it.
