K great, thanks for all the help guys. I think I am going for the Glock 19 from http://www.specarms.com/main.php since they are the cheapest I could find and live only a few hours from their store front location. For now I will not get a metal slide/barrel, but I may purchace one if the plastic slide becomes a problem or if I just want a more "real feel".

Again, thanks for all the help and I may be posting a review of this gun soon.

any way, unless its some technical issues ill probably just go with the 17, unless stalker showes up and convinces me other wise.
Ok, I'm here now. Ya, the 17/18 lack a lot of the features that the 19 has. Aside from metal upgrades and such, the 17/18 comes stock with a plastic recoil spring guide, plastic feed ramp (seen a couple break off from normal useage) and the frames feel like water pistols, where the 19 has metal (all the above) and the heavywieght, metal powder mixed with the plastic. I've played with G18s before, really don't like them. And I DON'T have small girlie hands, I wear a size 9 flight glove, and the G19 fits my ands perfectly. So don't think that the 19 is a litte tiny gun like a 26 is, the 19 is a whole lotta gun for what it is. And keep inmind, it's only 11mm shorter for barrel, and 10mm shorter for grip length, so it's not a huge difference between the two as far as size goes.

Well, for not much cash, if you already have the metal slide & barrel, you can install a metal mag catch for cheap, you can add a tightbore, maybe a stronger hammer spring (cheap part, headache to install)............ larger O-Ring on the inner barrel to get rid of the inner barrel wobble.
