P226 vs. Glock 19
I have narrowed down my options for buying an airsoft piston. First off, knowing from which manufacturer to buy each gun would be nice. Secoundly, I would like to know which of these guns has higher quality, ammount of gas usage, type of gas used, or any other useful things. Any other USEFULL comments or suggestions would be apreciated.
EDIT: I am do not with to buy the Glock 19C, but the Glock 19 because of gas type. |

Well.. your two best choices would be a KSC G19 (not C.. there is no company to my knowledge that makes a compensated glock 19 from the factory, altough aftermarket slides and barrels are available, or a homemade version too.) or the TM P226.
I've tried both guns, and owned a Glock 19 myself from KSC with an upgraded metal slide and barrel and recoil kit from guarder and to be honost, it had to be quite possibly one of the best gbb's I have used to date. The TM P226 on the other hand is a joy to shoot. I have never owned one but having used one several times for plinking and skirmishing I can say that its an awesome gbb as well. On propane, she shoots hard and straight just like my glock did, with a metal slide and upgraded recoil spring, I'm sure this could be one of the best gbb's on the market. Its a tough call, your asking for us to tell you whats a good gbb, but the fact of the matter is, you have asked about two of the best guns on the market. If I was to say right now, the top three gbb's that most vet. players will recommend easily, your gonna always hear: KSC Glock 19, TM Hi-Capa 5.1, and TM P226. For some reason they just seem to shine in a large market in terms of price, performance and reliability. I can tell you this much, I owned several berettas, from KJW and Marui and my glock 19 out shoot, out performed, and had better reliability then my berettas ever did. So I would say hell, just get what you like the looks of, a marui p226 will perform awesome just like a KSC glock 19. One thing to be aware of, these are both all plastic pistols and plastic slides will degrade, regardless of types of gases used, propane however will speed up this process and a metal slide and barrel is a very good solution in terms of aesthetics and reliability. They won't fail the same as a plastic slide will (can crack or slide release can wear off... etc). So anyways, thats my jumble of thoughts. Enjoy decyphering. :P |

P.S. I live in Canada, like most people on these forums, so unfortunately i must pay double for the Glock 19. Please keep that in mind when recomending sites. (ILLusion, i realize you where just trying to show that the Glock 19C does exist, but i just want to make sure others understand this).
Thanks, and sorry for double posting. EDIT: I am do not with to buy the Glock 19C, but the Glock 19 because of gas type. |

I stand corrected, thanks Brian, I didn't realize that KSC had made one.. I guess I've never seen one in person.. but comon the flat back grip :P
If your looking for a 'pre-upgraded' gun, you can get the KWA glock 19, which is a KSC glock with a metal slide and barrel. The only major difference is the body. The KSC glock 19 has a heavy weight material and it feels very nice in the hand, the KWA glock 19 uses a more traditional ABS feeling plastic.. not so nice to the touch. I know that DEA had a KWA glock 19 order on last year, and a few people got them from there, I bought my KSC g19 from specarms, $225 I think is his going price. To be honost, if your worried about the slide breaking and costs at the same time, just get the KSC. The frame and grip feel so much better. Use it until the slide breaks (it will take a while.. if not ever happen) THEN change to a metal slide and barrel. |

Sounds good. Any major difference betweeen the 007Airsoft Glock 19 and the one at SpecArms, besides the price difference?

Cool how are 2.5g bb's in the G19's?

Well, a 2.5g bb would probably not even move.. A .25g bb is just great, and is what I used most of the time in my glock. Good ol' guarder .25g

I'll use my 0.25g when pistol games are pretty intense, say pistols only or CQB type stuff. But for field use, where my G19 is my back up, I might have to shoot through brush, shoot guys that wear thick webbing/vests or even flak vests (for the fit & pockets, not cuz they are pussies) and helps them know they got hit, and for longer range stuff if I feel lucky. Found past 50-60ft 0.25g would veer off in one way or another, not exactly the type of performance you want out of an "Oh crap!!!" gun, so my being a sniper-type have a variety of ammo on hand, found I can hit man sized targets easily and consistantly with 0.30g BBs in my G19 using propane 100ft out. My kinda back up weapon.
