I agree with Hectic's post. My kids are now 3 YO and they see me handle my GBBRs and pistol every week. They have been teached proper firearm safety basics and what not-to-do's with them.

Teaching them at a young age assures them a proper acknowledgement later on when they get older. Always prone education over hiding your guns and hoping they never find them.

Safe for your 3YO's to be inhaling that much propane? :P

Yeah I will add that if something cheap and s called down is wht yer after your best bet is likely some clear soft from the walmart or CT or bass pro, they have many m4's about 1/3 the size and assorted other scaled down guns if you shop around or even just go to one near a cottage or farm area.
Tho I would have to agree a CQB length (or shorter even) m4 or an mp5 of some variant with a slither stock (altho the grip is kind of big)
Would likely be your best option. It will give them the proper feel and function, will grow with them as they age and can be repaired or upgraded in the future. A plastic GandG or JG/Echo1 can be had for under 300 bucks (prolly cost close to that for a TM BOYS)

Thanks guys... We have a few acres and practice good fun safety with the necessary protection. I think I've found a source where I can custom order. The boys seem to like the finish and authenticity of the TM boys, which are lighter and not as powerful, which is also another big consideration.
