All gun motors arnt the same are they..? so would there be many types that fit the body of CA's mp5a5? but thats if i'd need to upgrade it or not.. what would you do to it out of the box
That I do not know, I'm an AK fan, I highly suggest you to use the search feature or look under the retailer nav some may sell airsoft parts.

All motors are definitely not the same but there are 3 standard sizes (short, medium and long), so it would be very easy to find ones that fit the CA MP5. It is most likely either a short or a long type, and it's easy to tell from pictures which one you have.

Out of the box you should just leave it stock until you've gamed it for a while and know what you want to achieve with it next. Swapping a motor sounds like a trivial task but due to shimming and pinion/bevel alignment and electrical issues it's never as simple as just popping a motor in and being off to the races.. there is a lot of subtle tuning and work involved to make an upgrade like that work out well.

A Classic Army MP5? Out of the box? A tightbore, maybe. If you were planning on most CQC wouldn't even bother with that.

CA guns are solid out of the box. I didn't change anything on mine until I hit the 20,000-round mark. I think I'm still running the original tappet plate, and I have to be getting close to 60-80,000 rounds.

Most of the higher end stock airsoft guns are fine out of the box. A lot of times we only upgrade to swap out a bad component (and replace with a better one, because why not?), or because we replace something else that needs supporting upgrades. For example, in TM guns, stronger spring also means you need metal instead of nylon bushings, and a bearing spring guide wouldn't hurt.

Upgrading just for the sake of upgrading is the worst reason to upgrade. You'll be throwing money into components you don't need. And as a new player, you're not likely to appreciate (or capitalize) on the advantages certain components give you.

The best idea is play with a stock gun, decide what about it you want to change, then upgrade the appropriate parts.

One that works... All day long.... All the time.... Get at tm gun first then buy some other crap.

The only 100% reliabke guns that ive own in the last 12 years ( 50 ish guns) where tm gen 3 guns (ak, g36 or sig). All other failed along the way. Ps my ak is 15 years old but after twelve had the internals replaved by a systema ftk kit and a new gearbox shell. My last ca broke 2 times in the same day, my g&p never feeded correctly and my vfc was a load of crap, my top lmg was well a top lmg.
