Magpul MOE Grip on a PDW.
Question : Can you install a Magpul PTS MOE grip on a PDW aeg? I noticed on mine that it has a short type motor and that the stock grip is alot shorter then the Magpul one. If i switch grip and put in a long type motor, would it work?
Thanks in advance for the responses. |

Yes, this works. I swapped the stock motor out and put in a long type pretty soon after getting it. Also, I believe the stock motor is a "medium" type, not a short type. There are some compatibility issues with swapping in medium-type motor replacements in this gun (something to do with the width of the cylinder that wraps around the shaft interfering with the pinion hole, on Systema's medium motor I believe it was).
With long-type you are safe. I've tried a couple. I have also tested the following grips (with long type motors): - G&G M4 grip - King arms M4 grip - G&P M4 grip The G&G one had the best fit so I stuck with it. Extraordinaire on airsoftmechanics has a few videos on YouTube with a PDW that has a Magpul grip on it and seems to work and sound quite nice.

My VFC KAC PDW came (used) with that pistol grip. Changed it to a G27 grip

A bit tight but it seems like it fits and its working. I'll have to wait till tomorrow to test with some BBs. Love the looks Also alot more comfortable since the grip is like a inch longer
