Keep the mag in a well ventilated area. It doesn't have to be a warm area, and definately not a hot area. Just make sure lots of air gets to it, and it'll dry out.

Just an FYI. Only difference between the Archos 604's and the 500's is that the 500's has a built in audio recorder (ie: mic). Otherwise, they're the same thing. I'd say, go with whatever is cheaper....
