what kind of holster do you use
im curious what kind of holsters people use. what do you like and dislike about them? i personaly have 2 thigh holsters. i do like them except they always seam to try to move around my leg. i have the leg straps as tight as i can and i find when i run it can be a little anoying if it migrates out of position.

Blackhawk Omega VI, doesn't move one bit (even when not on overly tight), solid and draws faster than anything. Old school, but old school is for players anyways.

I've had 2 elcheepo drop leg holsters, no-name POS.
I just recently bought a HSGI drop leg in OD, man this thing is absolutly amazing in quality and looks. Not to mention comfortable too, I'm wearing it right now, yes the holster and nothing else. I got it from www.oneshottactical.com great price and great service. |

Unlce Mikes Sidekick hip holster. Thigh rigs bounce around too much for me. My sidekick is a size 20, fits Berreta 92's, most glocks and a USP Compact. I haven't tried any other gun out yet other than the TM Mk23 and it's way too big for that holster.

I use a Drop Zone thigh holster. It's OD, has a reversable insert to make it either right or left handed and is infinitely configurable for any type of pistol, except a 12" long hand cannon or something. It has a rubber back to prevent movement and a thumb break as well as a fastex buckle for a more secure hold. You can see them at www.dropzonetactical.com and they make them in OD, coyote, Multicam, CADPAT and soon MARPAT woodland and desert from what I've heard. Pricey though, at $129 Can., but worth every penny IMHO. It's THE most comfortable holster I've tried and most of the real-steal pistol users I've come across swear by them.

Every man and his dog have drop-leg holsters.
Safariland 070 level III retention holster for my Glock 17. The retention feature's pretty useless in airsoft but I like the holster's look, and it's especially amusing watching folks try to snatch my gun out of it. Much as they try, no one has yet. |

Owned a 6004 OD holster for my M9, then a 6005 OD for my MK23. Now I'm getting a 6004 OD for my Glock 18 AEP. I swear by these holsters. After hearing all the horror stories of people returning to a safe area from a skirmish and finding 2 or 3 pistols on the ground on the way, scares the shit out of me to imagine using anything else.

TT Modular Pistol Holster
Fits anywhere you have room. Holds both my .45's nice and tight, but still is an easy draw. Can be a bit floppy when on a belt, but nothing a bit of gun tape wont fix. Its also pretty cheap for a name brand holster. I've also got a safailand 6004, havnt had a chance to use it in a game yet but its fantastically comfortable. |

I have a Tactical Tailor Drop Leg holster. When done up right, it's very comfortable, and doesn't flop around.
However, if you are someone who rolls around, and likes to get down and dirty, get a lanyard. This holster has allowed my Glock to fall out atleast 4 or 5 separate times, and everytime my thumb-break had been engaged (unfortunately, it doesn't hold, or releases quite easily). Second issue is that the design of the holster is prone to pushing the mag release creating the famous lost mag issues. Other than that, I also carry my pistol in a Single M4 Mag shingle often enough, and it eliminates the issue of the gun falling out due to it's position on your body, but also because of the retention strap that I slap over the Glock. It still is prone to the mag being released if not taped at the bottom. The other downside to it is that you cannot do a quick one handed draw with that. Granted, the mag shingle wasn't designed as a holster, but I find it works great. So Safariland 6004's don't have the issue of releasing the Glock mag from the pistol?

I got a gaurder tornado holster works great can be changed in to whatever spec/gun type/lightmount you may have, I've had everything from a mk23 with lam to a sig 226 with and without a light to my trusty 1911 all by moving the flaps.
I still find it kinda funny seeing people with holsters on complaining that it moves around alot when the damn thing is at their knee. one of the guys from the guelph tactical team told me that if the holster has two straps the top one should allmost touch your croch
