manchovie's oldschool p226
here's my p226, enjoy:
started out as a tm, then got this stuff: -prowin railless metal kit -action 130% recoil spring -shooter's steel hammer pin -pdi 6.01 palsonite tightbore -shooter's nozzle -action floating valve -nineball piston head -nineball floating nozzle spring -special real p226 grips with checkering machined by hogue shoots pretty damn hard for a tm pistol its length, 330fps? i modified an oldschool surefire (then laser products) lamp to fit and i've got the matching safariland in woodland. more pics up when i do em.

I have a no-railer in the pipe. Taken two years so far but I'll have it soon.

Did you modify your grips, or the hammer spring housing, or did you get a real housing?

the pro-win kits accommodate real grips off the get-go. the spring housing is built into the frame. also, holy shit does the safariland fit this setup nice, even though the light extends the gun a fair amount and weighs a bit, i barely notice a difference in use.
now please, does anyone have a spare surefire (or repro, don't care) bezel they want to sell me? like this one here (just the bezel, don't need the actual head or lamp): http://images1.opticsplanet.com/180-...module-l36.png you'll find those on just about any older surefire weaponlight, shotties, mp5 grips, classic weaponlights etc.

Nice gun, what's with the takedown lever? Doesn't look like the new-style or old-style one. Or is it even older than the old-style flat one or something they had inbetween?

well it shoots straight and hard but i hadn't chronied with/without the barrel. the goal was to boost power but i don't have hard results. something's giving it a power boost, whether it's the floating valve, the spring, the piston head and piston seal, or tightbore it's hard to say who's pulling the weight
