After taking a look at Jeff's Capital Airsoft site this was on the home page! Does this mean that Airsoft is fully legal? http://albertaairsoft.com/store/

To put it simply;
Yes. Airsoft is fully legal to buy from anywhere in Canada. You're still not allowed to import yourself. |

for reference Put it blunt, This retailer is one of few retailer that can buy full metal due to loophole in law. Again, read my reference, it will explain everything And I think this thread maybe need locked because I can only predict some will flame you for not research

Ohh I tired to search but came up with nothing? If it violates the Fourm Rules or something like that then I have absolutley no problem with the Admins locking or removing it.
BTW I cant access the link you provided me. Is it AV'd only?

Yea, AV only It talk about one person, Thesaint, do research and are successful to get CBSA agree with his research.
However, general population of airsoft player still can't import themself, They need to buy those guns from retailer, which TheSaint handpick that he know will keep 18+ policy and has store.

Also - how could he research this when he is not AVed. The post was moved to an AVed area. What AMOS says is correct in the simplest forum.

To summarize:
1) ONLY CERTAIN brands and models have been approved for import by the CBSA and RCMP in accordance with existing regulations. 2) Private Imports will still see confiscation. 3) You still have to be 18+ to purchase these. |

if you read threw the post its clearly not a loophole. its was flat out brought to the attention of the authority's and they finally made a ruling on it. no loophole.

It's an OLD importation loophole that finally has some documentation to back it up.

So while this does not make airsoft legal, this makes it more legal than being illegal, while not being totally legal, while the wholetime not technically being illegal to begin with. I think that clears it up :P |

Loophole implies a workaround to something illegal via some technicality or oversight; what was done here was figuring out how to properly work within the laws in order to legally import.
It's not new, others have done it, but this time it was researched more thoroughly by someone with legal knowledge so one would hope its a bit more bulletproof.
