New KA TROY SPC A5 issues

Hey,

I just got my King Arms Troy A5.
Issue 1 is that I ordered the A4, but I'll deal with that later.

Issue 2. Any tips on removing the stock pipe? I see it's held on with a screw, but I don't have a long enough screw driver. Attack it from the side?

Issue 3. The top rail section doesn't sit flush with the delta ring. When it's touching one side, it's maybe 2mm off on the other.

Issue 4. The bottom rail rattles like crazy. Moves a mm or two side to side in its groove.

Is this typical of the KA build? I've always read they build a solid piece, especially the rail!

2. Get a longer screw driver. That's the only way to remove the buffer tube.

Yeah, that's what I figured too.

I also have barrel wobble.

3 and 4- I installed only the KA troy front end on a gun before. The top is perfect flush, and the bottom part has to be hammered in. I also had to file down the tabs of the bottom part so that it is actually possible to fit it.

So I would say you got a lemon...

Here's the left and right side of the rail at the delta ring.

I have two of these, one taken off a complete KA AEG and one purchased as an aftermarket kit. Both are extremely high quality.

Are you using a KA delta ring? I'm also not sure I understand correctly what you mean by it not sitting flush with the delta ring; the top rail just slides over the barrel nut (delta ring shouldn't be on) and screws in to a fastening bracket ("bottom half"). If you're referring to the gap between the top and bottom half that's normal: just screw in all 4 screws simultaneously and slowly (i.e, only tighten by a turn or two, one after the other, so it screws in evenly).

Also do not fully tighten the screws without the lower rail installed, and do not over-tighten them! You shouldn't need to file or hammer ANYTHING if you install the rail correctly (seriously FTW?! you're supposed to be a gun doc??? If the bottom rail won't fit YOU OVERTIGHTENED THE TOP ONE. It's not rocket science.)

As for the bottom rail wobbling, you should have a spring loaded pin which fits into the bottom bracket: the bottom rail slides over it and the pin locks it in place. Although you mention side-to-side motion? That's abnormal.

When the RIS was not on the gun, it was impossible to fit the bottom part.

How can you explain that?
