Best Li-Poly battery for the JG Thundermaul/Dragon?
Hey I am looking for a few li-poly's for my Dragon, I heard Rhino's are good and I'm looking for around 10-15$ each so I can buy a few. Looking at Hobbycity.com
I would like 11.1v but I'm curious as to if 14.8v would work as well? http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=7315 |

I'd be worried about 11.1 destroying the gearbox... 14.8 would destroy it for sure.
7.2v 20-30c would be your best bet. |

Also, $10-15 is the price of the battery, but with lipos, you are going to want to invest in a decent charger. I would avoid using them in a JG at all.

That is the best you can fit in there. 11.1v will not shred your mechbox right away, but it won't last very long. 14.8v will probably let you shoot 2-3 bbs. |

Thanks Kos-Mos.
Reviews on Youtube show them using 11.1v for li-poly as the gun is li-poly capable. I still don't fully understand the mAH and 'C' rating, but I'm assuming that 2150mah would last a lot longer then my stock 1100mAH and have more power as it's li-poly? Stock are 8.4v NI-CD I think. Thanks guys. |

FireFox are uber crap compared to any hobby grade battery.

Lipo's
I run lipo's in all my guns. I upgraded the internals with a sorbo pad, soft piston head and better full teeth metal piston. The guns perform flawlessly with an awsome trigger response and I have had no issues in the year and a half that I have used them (in terms of breakdowns or defective internals). I must say though that I'm not a person that burns thought thousands of bb's in one game, I'm a relatively conservative shooter. I bought a hobby grade lipo charger and balancer and have 4 firefox 11.1v lipo's. The performance on the firefox batteries is very good and I have had no issues.

I've been using Venom LiPo's for a year now and also invested in the Venom Pro charger. This charger can charge anything including LiPo's including discharge.
I use a 7.4V, 3200maH battery for $80. I use it in my Kraken with only an upgrade to the bushings, spring and bearings. Great batteries!! Venom LiPo battery Venom Pro Charger |

That looks an awful lot like a re-skinned IMAX B6... only with about 150% markup
