Quick-release backpacks?

Does such a thing exist?

I'm looking for a pack that I can carry around with me and hooks into my vest. When I need to though, I can just release the pack and return to get it later.

I've seen something like this in Stargate I think, but I haven't found any examples online.

Can you help me?

Quite a few packs have quick releases on them, tho they don't typically attach to your vest.

Do you have a preference for any particular brand? Eagle has a couple as does TAG.

My SDS 3Day Assault Pack has quick release buckles, but it doesn't directly attach to a vest/MOLLE (although the straps can be stowed and there are attachment points so it can be attached to a ruck... but then you lose the QD feature of the straps)

The CF has a cheap backpack with quick release. I saw one for about 100$ in a surplus once.

Don't buy one that attach to your vest, it will hurt your shoulder and back!

Yup, most of the CF packs (save the new daypack) have quick release shoulder straps. The old and new ruck and the CBRN bags all have a velcro strap and tab system that you can yank to release.

There's plenty of other bags though with side-release buckles that you can doff in a hurry.

TAD packs have the side release on the bottom of the shoulder straps too.

Find a pack with D-rings and thread Grimlocs into your vest. Attach pack to Grimlocs.

Grimlocs are not ment to carry that much weight.
Unless they have bigger models that I'm not aware of.

I've had a camelback on for a couple years with grimlocs and no issues. Full of water along with food and all my spare batteries stuffed in till it looks like a sausage about to pop.
