Toronto ETF/Flashpoint

Looking to make a flashpoint or ETF loadout. Just wondering if anybody has made one (pics would be awesome). Also wondering if people know where to get the grey uniforms.

Currently I have a glock 32C which looks alot like the glock 19 used by ETF. Gonna be getting my MP5A3 probably in a month or two. The uniform is my biggest problem right now.

I actually worked closely with the wardrobe department on this show and helped to provide alot of key info. On one weekend the director suggested that Hugh.....

shave his head so I refered him to the best guy in Port Credit for getting a smooth fine clean dome.......

the hard look came that same weekend.....
we all found out the guy does it with hot wax and tape!

I love that show.

Tell them to stop putting aimpoints on snipers, and scopes the wrong way around.

I'm a huge fan of the show and I was planning on doing something similar. I always thought the vest to be more like this though...

frrom this picture...

Now, it seems that Sgt. Parker uses a different vest from his team though. So, I guess it depends on the look you're going for.

Actually the left shoulder piece has a radio pouch in the show.

The vest that Sgt. Greg PARKER (Enrico COLANTONI) uses appears similar to the "LAPD SWAT" vest seen here: Link

The difference being that PARKER does not wear any of the external protective pads.

The remainder of the team generally appears to be wearing the BLACKHAWK! Omega Elite Tactical Vest seen here: Link

All members appear to be wearing a non-specific black tactical thigh holster, so you could get away with using almost any of them. Though in other photos on the interwebs they also appear to be using the Safariland 6004 Tac thigh holster, a popular holster with law enforcement. They use (as witnessed in several episodes) the Glock 17/22 model, a larger sized pistol, so for authenticity sake your G27 may be a little small. But, that is assuming you want to ago 100% authentic.

The grey uniform is definitely a two-piecer, you could probably go with the 5.11 Tactical TDU Pant in #030 - HRT Grey. Assuming you plan on using the uniform often, I recommend the rip-stop model to prevent any accidental damage to it.

Patches.....I'm going to go on a limb and say you may need to custom make them. If you know someone good at replicating patches, acquire an old MTP (Metropolitan Toronto Police) shoulder patch and replace the wording with "METROPOLITAN POLICE" on the outside ring. The one you're looking for looks like this. As for the actual "SRU" patch with what appears to be an unknown image with an "x" below it (someone feel free to correct me on the actual image since it appears I can't seem to find one with a big enough and clear enough shot) you'll probably have to get it custom made as well. There is a pretty clear image in the DVD book, I'll scan it and upload it tomorrow (4 Jan 10) when I get into work. Online, this is the best image I could find: Link

On a side note, does anyone else find it funny that they use MP5's and yet their vests are designed to hold 30rd AR-style magazines?

Actually, I think Parker is wearing this:
http://www.blackhawk.com/product/STR...-V1,712,90.htm

As for their uniform, it looks like Propper's grey BDU, but with pocket flaps modified by the costume department.

Definately noticed that with the vest having AR pockets. Was wondering if anybody knows where to get a vest like that with mp5 mag holders? or how well will an MP5 mag fit in those. Obviously too wide of a pouch but is it long enough?

As for the patches, probably gonna try to stay away from the one that looks like the TPS one. Would be awsome to get SRU and Strength and Honour ones though. I figure not having anything that says police on it will avoid any sort of legal issues. Not that I'll be running around in public with it or anything.

Also found out my glock isn't the G27 but the G32C, just came with the wrong manual. Realized it was different looking at pics and some of the specs. Still smaller, but not as small.

.
MP5 mags fit fine in Pouches sized for M4 mags... you can fit 2 MP5 mags in each pouch

Most "stock" vests with fixed pouches will be for M4 mags.. I have 3 or 4 of them.. in various configurations.. they are great for MP5 mags.
