Homemade 5.1 Hi-capa Stand
Hello fellow airsofters, after getting my new TM 5.1 hi-capa, i decided to use plexiglass to make a supporting base for it. It only took me 3hrs and it turned out awesome. Take a look at some of the pics and tell me what you think! Im opened for suggestions, advice, comments. Thanks.

I hate that LAME Beavertail safety..
If not for that, The gun would be Awesome.

Nice, but is it well secured? It looks like a little bump could put the pistol on its side

Cause they all have that. Also, it's an alright stand, nothing fancy. |

I prefer the stands made out of mags.... but I'm not big on putting my guns on display.

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

Personally I like to use the guns I buy lol
Nice stand though, a little rough on the edges but hardly noticeable in pics. You can buy OTHER safeties, your not stuck with the beavertail lol And personally I love the stock 1911 beavertail safety and hammer. Wish I could get that hammer for my MEU |

Its secure.. I would of used thicker plexiglass if i found some. I used cyanoacrylate glue so the two pieces are really stuck... didnt want to order one online and have to pay for shipping so i thought i just make one from scratch

you could have bent a one piece of plexiglass... would look nicer...
they're couple of videos on youtube that show you how to ''bent plastic''.... |

It's really easy, just need a heat gun, gloves and something to bend the plastic over.

ILLusion Kinetics has such a hammer... it's a complete set. You'd have to swap the MEU's beavertail, though. Some modifications may also be required to the rear tang of your receiver in order to install an M1911A1 beavertail.
