Well VSR-10 Barrel
Hey guys, just wondering what barrel i should get?
Im going full PDI bore up, but the TM barrel lengths are different than the Well. And I've heard a silencer adapter doesnt work, any ideas? |

If you're going bore-up go above 550mm otherwise all that additional air will be lost.

Yes, the Well Barrel is 510mm, so im thinking i will try to add my silencer to it. Has anyone heard if the PDI adapters work? Last i heard was that they didn't;might have to do a home made adapter.

the King Arms adapter does work.. (threads properly). However, you will have to remove the last 3 or 4 threads in order for it to fit flush.
And you probably want to wrap the threads with electrical tape for tight fit. |

But i could also just get the 430mm, which is cheaper, and 80mm isn't That much to sacrifice.

Don't get bore-up for 430, stick to standard bore.

So a Bore up setup, with normal TightBore?
|
September 27th, 2009, 23:22 | #12 |
so you are going for 510mm outerbarrel + 430mm inner barrel?
|

Bore-up refers to internals.. not the tightbore.
Bore-up is used when the stock cylinder can't push out enough air to make use of the extra length in a barrel... after 550mm, you'll see a slow decline in performance as the barrel gets longer and longer... This is where bore-up comes in. |
