Converting G36C to G36
Planning on converting a friend's TM G36C into a G36 full size (not the one I have for sale). Going to be getting the G&P G&P G36 Handguard w/ Bipod & Barrel Set. What size of inner barrel and cylinder type would I need to complete the conversion?

G36C has a barrel length of 249mm and a ported cylinder to match. The cylinder will support upto a 363mm barrel which is a G36K length. If you change your barrel to a full length G36 you'd have to change your cylinder to a non ported one as well. (sorry i don't remember what the length is needed for a full G36. I beleive it's 495mm)

469mm inner barrel, and I believe the cylinder shouldn't ported at all; it's more or less just a metal pipe with that length of barrel.
This is where I documented the changing of mine if you're interested. (Page 1 is the G36C, page 2 is the G36)

The inner barrel length for a full size G36 is 494mm. You should be able to fit a 509mm (standard M16 barrel) into one without issue though, as it won't stick out beyond the "solid" part of the flashider.

I'm kinda aware of cylinder types, I was moreso unsure about barrel size but thanks for confirming that chaos.

i was under the impression that there is a difference in the length of the stock as well. they sell G36K stocks (G&P makes them).

Not worried as much about the stock, as it's more of a barrel length conversion more than a full conversion. The user simply wants a longer barrel length (without using a silencer), so we opted to simply get a front kit for a G36. However, it is a good point that the 36c is a bit smaller stock. Maybe a bit later down the road we'll get a new one. But we'd also need to get a new top rail (the magnified version) to complete the look as well, so it would be a bit further down the road.

G36 and K stocks are 1" longer than a C stock.
I personally can't use a C stock properly... |
