This is "an" gundoc thread!

For the rest of you gundocs out there... Post your weird/strange/"Holy crap how he hell did this happen??"/"How did this gun even fire!?" pictures of breaks or other internals....

I'll start off with a picture from a DPMS M4 that I just got.. Seems the air-way in the cylinder head decided it it didn't like being attached to the cylinder head..

This one was really funny... When the gearbox was still assembled it felt incredibly weird.. it almost felt like a destroyed tappet plate... but the nozzle was completely loose, able to rotate 360 in a circle! I had never seen that happen before!

More to come once I sift through my photos..

That's not uncommon with a plastic cylinder head and metal shaft (as opposed to an all metal one-piece one).

Had that happen on a brand new CA 2 years ago. BB's just piddled out the barrel when fired. Needless to say, the client was less than happy. Still have it in my "Wall of Shame" collection.

I had a teammate's M4 to work on after he installed a tightbore (Prometheus) and a full upgrade kit, couldn't get it working, I test fire a few shots to see what's up, only to see a suddenly long silver streak fly out where I had previously seen BBs, followed my a loud clanging on the basement floor................. yup, the barrel actually flew out the muzzle! I laughed, found the C-clip wasn't in the hop up, called him, he said "Funny you mentioned, I found a piece of plastic on my bedroom floor that sounds like that, didn't know what it was, put it on my dresser. I'll drop it off later." Wasn't the main problem he was having, but sure as hell was funny to experience!

Here's a neat one... The wear patterns from improperly shimmed helical gears... It's not good for the gears.. but at least it looks neat!
