What Lube for This Gun
Hey there!! I just got my Escort MP5 and the cocking action is a bit stiff and feels like its grinding and needs lube. (i think this prob is solved, this question is mainly for regular maintenance)
Soo, I've gone out and got myself 3in1 Silicone Lubricant. (and for those who don't know what im talking about: 3in1 Silicone Lube) What i'm trying to find out is whether this is ok to put on the o-rings or not. I was told it should be fine, but ionno. Also, for the brass, is this lube good to make them move as well? Basically, can I put 3in1 Silicone Lubricant Spray on the insides of this wonderful gun? I'm a student, so i can't really afford any fancy schmancy lubes. soo anything you guys could recommend that I could get from a Home Hardware in a big can like WD40 or the 3in1 Silicone I got (or something that will last a while), please let me know! ![]()

Skladfin hit it right on the money XD
the thing is, i dont know if 3in1 is 100% silicone oil, was hoping one of y'all could tell me XD Thanks for the quick responses! EDIT: i just found this, it has the hazardous ingredients that are in it, would y'all still say its ok to use? The Document I found and if it's not ok to use, what would you guys say is cheap and available at home hardware since I dont have time to order online. Needs to be good on brass, aluminum, and o-rings.

"Distillates (Petroleum) 35-40%"
BAD! Do not use this on an airsoft gun, especially rubber and plastic. Also since it's made by the WD40 company I would just assume it has petroleum distillates in it. |

And take note that most of sprays use propane as a propelant. That mean bug stuff, WD-40, etc. If its in a spray can, there are lots of chances it has propane in it. |

Go to your local hobby/RC store and ask for the lightest weight silicone oil or RC Shock oil that they have.
