The Last Four BB's & Your Mags
Well first I am not sure were to post this, so I put it here
Tired of wasting those 4 last BBs in your magazine when play? and some can get quite expensive for plastic spheres. Well I was wondering if any of you guys out on the field ever tought of using those crappy Wal-mart green BB's to put as the last 3-4 (depending on magazines) inside at the end so you dont waste more money on those .28g witch is perfect for outdoors but they get costly after a while if your the kind of trigger happy Has anyone done this before? anyone tought about? (that im sure) See there might be a purpose for those craptastic BB's lol Last edited by johjoh; March 14th, 2009 at 16:27.. |

Decent BBs are about half a cent each, so you're "wasting" roughly 2¢/mag
Cheapo BBs come out to about $0.002/ea ( 1/5th of a cent) so you're wasting just under 1¢/mag, resulting in a savings of 1.2¢/mag The hassle of loading four different BBs at the start of a mag isn't worth 1.2¢ savings -- or roughly $0.17 for 14 mags, or $12 after 1000 mags which would afford me a bag of BBs.

Havent thought of that, it is a good idea.... but I still wouldent even want to risk having a cheap bb passing through the internals and possibly doing a lot of wear on the rubber inside the hop-up unit... being how cheap bb's are cheap for a reason (low quality)

BBs are so cheap, I don't bother.
I try not to waist them when I load my mags, as in, not letting a handfull fall to the ground. But I'm not botthering with the last 3 of the mag. It make reloading a tedious task IMO.

Hehe, read the above posts, I guess this is one reason I stand out among others, never had a problem with cheap ammo, and another benefit is some of my mags will hold the last BB when totally empty, so when you do tactical reloads (partially spent mag swapped for a full one), I KNOW which mags in my dump pouch are empty and which ones still have a dozen or two rounds left in it when ammo gets down to pucker factor levels............ of course, I still have my G19 and 8 mags loaded with heavy BBs............. One of my teamate has some AR mags that has a little tip in it to push in the last bb's...
I don't remember the brand... I will get back to you on that. But I would not bother whit that. It's cheap and the last bb's always stay in there so it's not like you really lose them.

.... They are just 4 bbs.
I can't even imagine how you guys would drop a BB while loading your mags. Pick them up with dirt? lol |
