Sniper rifle in the new ASC banner

Who in their right mind would place such a nice rifle on top of ASC. I can't concentrate on the forum content and keep eying that nice rifle.

1- I want to see the original picture
2- I want to know if that RIS rail kit can be fitted to a CA M24 or Maruzen L96.

hehe

I had that feeling it was a real one, after noticing the spiral grove on the bolt.

Edit: Tank TCSF-Bower for the pic.... damn sexy rifle.

I did make the banner. Lisa suggested that we use a Canadian rifle as the Tmbewolf, so I did it!
Indeed, it's a Timberwolf Tactical .338.

Err, maybe I made a mistake when I googled it.
Seems it's a MacMillan TAC .338
http://www.mcmfamily.com/mcmillan-ri...-tac-338.php#b

Maybe it's the same gun... I'm confused XD

Anyway, from the MacMillan website, it seems that the rail & mount system is a McCann Industries MIRS as found here: http://www.gokart.net/shop-utopia/mc.../mirs-m24.html
Maybe ask Huang to make one

I just did a quick recon of the mcmillan website. The rifle in the picture is the Tac 300. Shooting .300 win mag. It's almost identical to the TAC .338 in apearance. But Mcmillan offer all colors for their stock, so it could be anything really.

That seems right. If you got the money for the McCann Industries MIRS system, it probably fits with no or minimal modifications. You just gotta have the money to put on this^^

Ahhh....YEPPP, it is. One of those new fangled ones high def ones...I'd hate to see the price tag!!

Have you managed to check out one of those silencers for the 50 Cal McMillian that the CF uses?? Damn thing is like 5 inches across and almost al long as the barrel!! (Still don't understand why they make silencers for 50 cals, but they do...)

The problem is that when you use a silencer, especially a "dry can" type, is that you have to use sub sonic ammo (READ; drastically reduced effective range) or risk blowing out oll the internals, or just not getting the "full benifit" of a silencer.
Now, technoligies have gone through some drastic changes in just a few short years, so who knows what's changed with the baffle construction, etc... could also explain why some of them are getting so honking big.
