Batteries in the cold...
Yesterday I played a game in a cold place. It was between 0 and -4 or so.
My 8.4V NiMh 1400 maH stick-type batteries gave up after 100 rnds each. The ROF was very slow and all of sudden no more power. What type of batteries are better in the cold? Is it a question of NiCa vs NiMh, quality of the battery (my batts are of basic quality), etc... Thanks. I want to know what I need to survive the next games with my gun fully functionnal!

I do believe Nicad batteries function a little bit better in the cold.

Tenergy batteries are shit.
Buy new batteries, it wasn't because of the cold. |

How about Intellect 9.6 V 1400 mah ? I play last game like -15 Cº and it won't last long more than 300 round and them dead. Lucky, I brought my Lipo battery and it last long the whole day.

Sanio cells, NiCad batteries. I did 3 winters with 2 small ones. One was 8.4v and the other a 9.6v. Never had problem. Each would last a full day or at worst, half a day in my stock G36c.
IMO, they are the best batteries for the price.

Ni-Cad battery works better in dropping temp. Second would be Li-Po
Ni-Mh Battery sux balls in the cold. |
