sliding stock that can fit square batteries?
before i buy anything hastily i was wondering if someone could help me with details on a stock (IE which one) that can house either a large battery or a mini type, meeting the condition that the battery is a lipo. the larger the battery compartment the better.
as far as i know lipo's only come in rectangular shape, not round. i currently run a lipo in my p90 and i am aware of the arguements on why not to. the stock will be on a JG HK 416.

Incorrect. http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=26012 I love lipo's, people who tell you not to use them are not aware of the quality lipo's out there, or not informed on how to maintain a gun properly while using: In my opinion. There are a lot of half truths and myths floating about. Personally, I would never pay $70+Shipping for a lipo. I buy mine from: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...0mAh_2S1P_20C_ At $10 a pack and $30 shipping for 3 day service, it's good for a bulk buy. |

handy, thanks for the info on the cheap packs. and the nunchuck lipo, but do you know of any crane stocks that will fit a mini or larger batt?

IIRC there are LiPo packs that fit inside the buffer tube of the AEG, or was that for PTWs, unless they have the same buffer tube inner diameter.
BTW here's some info I found useful regarding lithium cells : Data - Complete Guide to Lithium Polymer Batteries and LiPo Failure Reports

well i may have found a interesting solution.
i was searching for something with at least 11.1v 1500 mah 20c rating, i found this not quite what i wanted but it will fit in one half of the crane stock on my 416. then i learned something interesting about lipo's, they can be wired in parellel. so wiring two of those batteries in parellel will give you 11.1v 2400 mah 20c now my question is can the stock motor handle the high current, i believe a installed trigger-master can regulate it, correct me if i'm wrong. mk-i trigger-master can take 30 amps, a 2400 20c can put out a continious 48 amps. a mk-III can take 65 amps. will the stock motor try and draw more then that with a spring shooting 420 fps? Edit: yeah i never read that data sheet you posted, it says right in there you can parellel these batts

you need to be carefull with the 11.1v packs. unlike the 7.4v ones these wont stop pulling the motor once they hit min voltage. this means its easy to over discharge the 11.1v packs.
i run FireFox 11.1 20c stick lipo on my buffer tube(after quite a modafication), and i have it connected to a Extreme-Fire(Cheetah) fire controll unit, and a Project-WolfDragon Lipo PCB for low voltage detection. basicly the Lipo PCB will send a signal to the FCU and tell it that the battery is at it's min charge and shuts off the gun. i have already killed one of my batteries for not using the lipo PCB with my FCU. i'll take some pictures later today.

ok here are the pictures.
if you want to see what i had to mod to make this work and how the buffer tube is attatched to the lower reciver, just ask and when i get a bit of time i'll take my gun apart so you can see the details.
