Fedex shipping, going everywhere
so I bought some stuff from EdGI from Phillipines a while ago and he shipped it to me via Fedex, and from the tracking here is what I see
Dec 7, 2008 5:52 AM MEMPHIS, TN/Arrived at FedEx location Dec 6, 2008 9:13 PM ANCHORAGE, AK/Departed FedEx location 11:41 AM ANCHORAGE, AK/Arrived at FedEx location6:09 AM RICHMOND, BC/In transit 6:09 AM RICHMOND, BC/Clearance in progress 6:09 AM RICHMOND, BC/Clearance delay 3:32 PM PARANAQUE PH/In transit 12:05 AM PARANAQUE PH/In transit Dec 5, 2008 10:58 PM PARANAQUE PH/At local FedEx facility So bottom line, it came straight from Phillipines to Richmond, BC customs clearing centre(which is the city beside vancouver), and without further details, flew all the way to Alaska and then to Memphis, Tennesee, US. So I'm really going "wtf?" over this right now, but I've seen similar transit activity with UPS tracking, but I can not figure out why courier would do this(Meaning go all over north america). Anyone have an explanation? Thanks |

For one, the tracking on the websites is based on predictions, not real time scans. You have to have the inside # to a supervisor who can dig that up for you.
For two, when the humans that unload the aircan and sort the freight they can toss something mean for Richmond into the Bugtussle pile. That means it travels all the way to the wrong spot and then hopefully is caught and bounced back. |

It may be that way... but I'd hope they had a bit of a better system then just predictions. For a while my UNC order said it was in Mississauga (directly from HK) but with some sort of problem... next day it's in the states doing some weird things (not nearly as bad as yours, mine actually seems to be going toward me)... so far it's settled as the following:
MOUNT HOPE, ON, CA 07/12/2008 17:31 ARRIVAL SCAN LOUISVILLE, KY, US 07/12/2008 16:09 DEPARTURE SCAN 07/12/2008 8:35 ARRIVAL SCAN ANCHORAGE, AK, US 06/12/2008 23:15 DEPARTURE SCAN 06/12/2008 20:02 ARRIVAL SCAN CHEK LAP KOK, HK 07/12/2008 4:07 DEPARTURE SCAN CHEK LAP KOK, HK 05/12/2008 22:03 HUB SCAN KOWLOON BAY, HK 05/12/2008 17:28 PICKUP SCAN HK 06/12/2008 5:59 BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED At least it'll be here soon yay~~

Perhaps its just the holiday season I ordered mags from the states
And right when it posted that it was in customs, the package is actually in my mailbox. And it "stayed" in customs for 4 days until it finally switched into saying it arrived at destination even though its been sitting in my room the whole time. |
