Bullpups accuracy

Are Airsoft Bullpups much more accurate than classic design types?

EDIT: Sorry that wasn't very clear. Are bullpups worth getting? They have the same barrel length as rifles with a shorter total length, but I hear they are harder to upgrade.

Lets take the TM Aug for example, due to its design where the mechbox is seated in the rear end of the gun, this gives it the ability to have a longer barrel. A longer barrel does somewhat assist in accuracy.

The general design of airsoft bullpups allows the barrel to be stabilized over a greater area as well as have a much more efficient air seal design in and around the hop up chamber area.

In that regard, airsoft bullpups generally more accurate than other series (ie M4 / M16, G3, MP5) due to a much more stable design as well as more efficient pressure containment system.

There should be no worry at all, replacement parts are available readily from multiple suppliers all over the world. Each and every airsoft gun maybe different, but they all use a mechbox. Be it a version 1 like the Famas or a version 3 like the Aug. All you could require to do is find out which version mechbox your AEG uses and stick to that versions parts.

As for upgardes, the same thing, many parts availble from many companies. Just stick to your correct version.

As for accessories, I dont see why there would be any issue as such things are external and have nothing to do with internals.

Bullpups can feel alittle unbalanced to some due to the mechbox being housed in the back. I've used a P90 and owned an AUG and both were alittle bottom heavy, they aren't my preference but perform well.

Okay thanks for the input guys. Im looking into more bullpups now. What are the most popular/available out of these three: FAMAS, L85A1, FN F2000?

Personaly, I'd stay away from the FAMAS.
.... the other two choices depend on your style of play;
- FN2000 more CQB friendly (if bull pups weren't already)
- L85A1 for field work

They're good versions of the FAMAS and L85 out. Google will find those.
FN2000? Not so much. Only JLS makes it, and apparently they're CRAP.

Like I said, Google will find a lot more information/reviews etc. I'd say STAR and Army, but I really have no experience with them.

Many people report that bullpup designs are " ungainley" and unbalanced.. in truth they are just "different" than conventional configurations.

Someone used to an M4 or any conventionaly configured weapon will find it weird to deal with the layout of the fire controls and balance.

Once you carry the weapon and use it for a while you soon find out the benefits.

I have a STAR L85A2 , when I first fielded it .. I hated it.. the mag was in the wrong place.. the selector was in the wrong place... everything was screwy..

Then after I ran it for a while if found it in fact to be much more ergonomic than anythign else I had run.

The mag well is very close to you .. and so you can make changes with less body movement and with no movement of the weapon while prone.

The safety is right at the index finger on the strong side.. fromn safe to fire literally with a flick of the finger.

The selector at the butt ... even works well while prone..

teh balance of the weapon places its weight more at your core so you can carry it .. and lift to ready faster and with less effort than another weapon of a conventional configuration..

Takes STANAG 4179 mags too !

this coupled with a very long barreled weapon in a package 4+ inches shorter than an M4 ... what could be better?

To my knowledge.

Star/Ares, ICS and Army are the only ones that make the L85.

Exactly, people think the hind being heavier is a downfall. It makes it easier to swing around a rifle.
