Private Parts Magwell Version 1 and Version 2

Hey, I'm trying to figure something out between my buddy and I...

I'm wondering what the difference is between version 1 and version 2 of the PPA Magwell for the G36.

He can't get his mags to feed with CA mags , He's got a CA36 and a pro-win hopup... I had the feeding problems with my old JG36 with the Pro-win and PPA magwell...

Anyone got any ideas? Could it be the mag? Could it be the Magwell/Pro-win combo?

What's the difference between Version 1 and Version 2 of the PPA magwell?

Amos, it's the combo. Remember I bought that G36 off you? I changed it to a regular hopup and regular magwell and it worked fine.

But remember how mine had the fucked up bucking?

Did you try Normal bucking + PP Magwell + Prowin?

The version 2 PPMagwell has wider ribs on the inside to prevent all the magslop the version 1 had. Other than that, they appear to be the same.

The bucking had nothing to do with it. That just contributed to an FPS loss.

The bit that pushes into the feed port of the mag and presses that little triangular bit that holds the BB's in isn't long enough. I had this problem with my ICS M4. I still can't use KA mags since the plastic bit holding the BB's in is a little deeper in the feed port than other brands of mags so the hopup piece that enter the mag isn't long enough.

I have thought about dremeling it out and replacing it with a slightly longer piece of brass tubing but it seems like a lot of work just to be able to use KA mags.

Alternatively you might be able to alter the mag catch stud that locks into the mag so it holds the mags in farther up. Some people also hot glue toothpick bits or other little things into the rectangular hole in the mag so it inserts further into the magwell.

To solve this problem you can file down the BB retainer triangle bits. Worked with my G&P metal body and KA 68 round mags.

why doesnt PPA just make one that works, so its doesnt need any modification?

Also like LUTNIT said, its triangle bit thats the issue, so whats the solution?
