MP5 A5

I was wondering, if someone could give me some input on the MP5 A5. I'm looking into getting it but I cant seem to decide if I should or not. So in other words, can someone give my their opinion on the gun if they have used it or know someone that has. i would like to know the reliability of it and so on....

What make of mp5-a5. There's probably 4 or 5 companies that make one.

I have heard that ICS make terrific guns, and the split mechbox is a great idea. Beware, many standard parts (internals esspessially) aren't ISC compatible (or so i have heard)

were you thinking of buying from buyairsoft.ca by chance :P they havnt had an ISC gun in forever

Ok thank you for the tip and no i am not going anywhere near that place. I have used them once before and they shipped my stuff in a box that was very poorly packaged. I was thinking of getting it from 007 airsoft, when I turn 18 in June

sorry to say it, but 007 has been closed for several months now, Once your 18, you can get Age verified, that will give you access to the ASC Classifieds

Ken had some uh..... trouble from the CBSA.

He's in the process of making some deals with suppliers in China now so he should be up and running by pretty soon.

I have a TM MP5J. It has a modded A5 stock. It's only good because it is retractable. However, the A4 stock is a lot better for a number of reasons. First, it is a sturdy stock. Second, you can install a larger and bigger battery in the stock. The A5 has the mini battery and it is installed in the hand guard which can be a b**** to put in. It does get time to get use to. Third it looks my badass =D Hope it helps.

As far as I know, current ICS MP5s don't have a split mechbox. They have a standard V2. However, they are developing a new MP5 that does have a split mechbox.

Once your old enough (if you aren't already), try attending some games and renting both an A4 and A5, see if its really your style, and which you prefer. Reading is no substitute for experience.
