Moved from Uk to Ontario - Hi!
Hi there
Im working in Toronto - was in scotland. Finding it all very nice - Uk was a pithole. Ive got a lot of guns in the UK I went a bt mad before the law changed buying the ones I wanted. Now I moved all my guns are left behind. not sure if I can ever bring them here. Im going to get verified and perhaps get back into the airsoft way - although its a money pit. Used to post a bit on Arnies but after the law changed and I bought all the guns I wanted at the time I needed a rest. Amazing to see a large board like this in a country where the guns are not so easy to get. Im going to do a search but if anyone has any online canadian retailers then feel free to post a linky! |

If you're comfortable disassembling/reassembling your guns, there's one way to do it.
Have a mate back in the UK strip the guns of the receivers and pack them in a box and ship them here. Leave the recievers in the UK and have a friend sell them for you. The only things really prohibited from import are the receivers, and mags with fake bullets in them (ie G36 locaps). Obviously, some receivers (L85, for example) are going to be next to impossible to find, but AK/M16/MP5 are all pretty common around here. Once you're age verified, you'll find there's a large selection of used guns sold by users on this site on a forum section you don't have access to (until you are age verified). For parts, you can order pretty much anything you want (except receivers) from your favorite online retailer. Most people around here use ehobbyasia.com, ebaybanned.com, redwolfairsoft.com, or uncompany.com. Some use wgcshop.com, too. We also have acouple of long-standing Canadian retailers who stock an array of parts - Duy at airsoftparts.ca, and Ken at 007airsoft.com, and Illusion, who has a post in the Buy + Sell section. Enjoy your stay in Canada.

Whats with all the UK guys moving here?
Also good on you for actually reading the FAQ and making coherent sentences, not like those other noobs who post every day. The community here in Canada is really tight knit so don't cheat or have any conduct unbecoming cause they can make sure you never play again with anyone. That being said welcome to Canada.

Recently, there have been a few guys from Europe that brought all their guns and gear over with them in their luggage and they made it through as customs never checked. I would not recommend this but it does happen. What weapons did you have in the UK?

Coherent sentences? We`ll see.
As for pics im in the middle of trying to sort out my photobucket account. Heres one of my wall. The wall got larger after this pic was taken - I also got lots of pistols - Im into H&K and Glocks in a unhealthy way...but isnt everyone? My problem bringing them in is the quantity and how do I begin to choose a handfull! Which babies do you leave behind!!! |
