are Star mags reliable?
I was wondering if the 30rd mp5 mag by Star was reliable

Sure why not.
You may have feed issues but that maybe dependant on what brand of mp5 your plugging that mag into.

Mostly
I run em for my M4 and my L85 and I have them for my MP5s as well .. the great thing about them is they are cheap so even if you have one that goes bad its not a big loss.
I think I have had 1 M4 and 3 MP5 mags crap out in 2 years time... so for me that is an acceptable failure rate.

Pretty good. I've sold a few boxes with no complaints.
Have used a few mp5 ones that had mild feed issues but nothing serious. Could have been the gun.

when I upgraded my TM m4 from a 9.6 battery to an 11.1 I found that the only mags that fed my beast fast enough was the STAR mags.

I am running them with my M4 and find them to be the most reliable compared to Classic Army and King Arms. And they are real cap! bonus.

Cheap and reliable. Unfortunately they're plastic but for that price you can lose them and it's not a big deal either. I've found they're also rugged as hell. They can take quite a beating.

I owned MP5, M4, and AK star mags in addition to TM mid and high caps. Let me assure you that Star mags for the MP5 are reliable but don't expect to be able to shoot all 30rounds. You'll most likely get 28 rounds.

yeah I have M4 30rnd'ers and you get about 28 on ful auto...rarely all 30. I have been lucky a few times in shooting for fun. its not that they are shitty, just they dont get fed because of the hop-up feed, its a bit long and the spring in the mag runs outta room to push more bbs in the chamber.
I have 13 of them and love 'em. way more realiztic in combat |
