G&P MK46 Outer Barrel: Compatible w/ CA/AK M249?

Like the title says,

I just want to confirm if the G&P MK46 Outer Barrel Set is compatible with the CA m249s. OR even better, if anyone knows for certain they are compatible with the A&K M249.

Thanks guys

Me and you both are wondering this, somebody sent an E-Mail to WGC and they said it was not compatible. I e-mailed G&P on this issue and they said they weren't sure. I've also read the CA is a copy of the TOP and so is the G&P so by theory it should fit. Any further information is appreciated, as I have a G&P MK46 feed tray on order for my A&K.

The MK46 stock will fit, but to make a true MK46 you'll have to replace the entire bottom frame of the M249. Im going to take my MK1 and attempt to convert it to an MK46 MOD1 as close as I can.

FN MK46 MOD 1 (Note the top RAS has been modified to fit on the bottom instead)

No they are not.
I had both a CA249 and my G&P249 together to see all the design differences, the way G&P locks their barrel in is different from the CA way of doing things.
HOWEVER if you know a machinist with a lathe and a square grooving tool, it may be possible to get the G&P barrel to work on a CA.
And to elaborate: G&P uses a rather clumsy and barbaric set screw to lock their barrel in place, you pretty well drive it right into the metal, I'm not impressed.
CA uses a very intelligent spring loaded clamp that locks into a square groove on the barrel, thus ensuring that your barrel is where it's supposed to be, and more importantly, that your hopup is flush against your mechbox.
