JG HK416 Crane Battery
Hi,
Anyone has found a good replacement for the chinese battery that come with the JG HK416 (crane version)? Looking for large battery (not small, like sanyo crane battery), Thanks, Bong

Technically, nothing. But those cheaper batteries don't tend to last as long. I'd personally want to get one with a higher capacity as well as moving up to 9.6V. I currently have my C8's old 9.6V 2000 mAh battery in the new full stock on my 416, and the performance is pretty impressive. It's increased its rate of fire pretty significantly. Now that I have the crane stock on my C8, I'd love to have a 9.6V in that as well. __________________________________________________ _____ EDIT: I just took a look at my 416's stock, and I believe this battery could fit. It would be a tight fit, but I believe that there is enough space. I just tried to place an order for one and they're currently back ordered wth an ETA date of April 10. I will pick one up as soon as they're available. 4200 mAh should KICK ASS for rate of fire.

It appear that you can fit a 9.6 v in the crane stock.

Well, no battery should go down the middle tube. It sort of impedes the action of the stock. There's plenty of room in the butt for the 2-pack.

Any problems getting 9.6v instead of 8.4v?

That battery would probably work too. I may just have to order one.
And as a note, if you want to insert the middle battery pack into the buffer tube and maintain full functionality of the stock, it's best to cut a couple of inches off the tube on the body that the buffer tube mounts on.

I had the cells on that chinese cheapo battery reconditioned, before it was only holding about 60% of a charge, now it holds closer to 90%.
Im using these and they work just fine. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWN:IT&ih=014

Gotta be careful with the ones that have 2 cells instead 1 that lead off from where the tamiya head is. The way that JG stock fits I dont know if anything more than a single will sit properly in that butt plate. Best of luck though, I hope those work out.

I did a check on mine, and the 2 cell pack will fit in the JG buttstock. It's gonna be a tight fit, but it will fit.
