GBB Silencers
Ok, I have been hearing that a lot of people use these to hide longer inner barrels. I was just curious to know if longer inner barrels are required to use a silencer?
Right now, I am using a We 1911 which I want to put a silencer on. Can I just buy the threaded outer barrel and screw on the silencer? Or do I have to have the inner so that the bb doesn't bounce around? |

You don't NEED a longer barrel. Many people like to use a longer barrel on an AEG and use the supressor to conceal that. It allows you to use a longer barrel (more accurate) on a short gun like an M4 or MP5.
It's not required, and on a GBB, it would probably be more of an encumbrance than anything else IMO, as you wouldn't want to have the GBB wiht a supressor all the time, and without it, you'd have a long, ugly inner barrel sticking out. I have a supressor on my MP5 with a stock barrel. I have no issues whatsoever.

i have heard that some people use it to make their gun more accurate because it is more front heavy and thus not as much barrel climb when you shoot. basically it helps to reduce the guns ability to climb up with the recoil and moving slide. At least that is what i was led to believe

James, if you're looking for accuracy, just tune your hop. Forget the longer inner barrel Plus, drawing an unsuppressed pistol is quicker than drawing the suppressed. |

I meant the crap he was talking about. Yes I know hopup changes BB trajectory!

if you want to use a supressor just get a nbb because i have a nbb socom and my friend has a supressor on his m9 and i have the socom is much better on a nbb. but they do look cool on a gbb.

Lies.
Still, I think having a "suppressed" pistol is kinda weird. Unless you're going for an impression, it's pointless. And to be brutally honest.. The disadvantages heavily outweigh the advantages. Most GBB are shit quiet, anyway |

There actually IS some "barrel climb" with GBBs. Think about it, you are changing the center of gravity of the gun in the 'no shot state', and as the slide moves back the center of gravity moves to the rear as well, making the muzzle climb. It doesn't do it nearly as much as a real pistol, but does it enough (more so with a metal slide installed) to really notice it, espeically with a pistol that has a long slide action (MK23, Beretta 92, etc.). Actually, it's more 'muzzle flip' than barrel climb, but are pretty much the same thing.

i have a silencer for my glock 18c. i bought a threaded barrel from airsoftparts and now it can attach a silencer perfectly. its pretty much only for cosmetic purposes, cuz it looks so much cooler

Right now, I am pulling off a Hitman impression, which is why I want the silencer for it. My 1911 shoots hard and straight already. It is quite loud, but not as loud as a real pistol of course. Plus its unique since I have not heard of very many people putting silencers on 1911's.
Im glad to hear that I don't need a longer inner barrel. I was worried that I would get threaded outer barrel and silver silencer, and then the bb would bounce around inside the silencer. |

Yeah thats a cool looking pistol. I was planning on just using the Nine Ball SAS outer barrel and the Quicksilver silencer. Does this NB outer fit on the WE 1911?
I've read that some parts are compatible with TM and some are not. I would like to get a definitive answer to this. |

SAS kit isn't compatible with WE, I'm pretty sure
*My bad, thought you meant the SAS front set for Hi-Capa, sorry. I haven't got a clue about the SAS barrel.
