kraken difference
i was wondering is there a difference between these two AK's?
http://bansheepaintball.com/products...es/kraken1.jpg and http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/images/KrakenWood.jpg it has a clear plastic receiver on the second picture but the in the first picture the description says it has a metal receiver. Description(first pic) AfterMath Kraken AK-47. Professional training and competition-model machine gun fires semi or full auto, at a wild 370 fps. Solid design features a steel barrel, steel body, frame and steel gearbox. Adjustable Hop-Up system. Includes a Ni-MH battery and charger, 1000 rounds of ammo and a detachable magazine that holds 110 rounds. Adult AirSoft solution that looks like the real thing! if you can tell me that would be great because im trying to find out which gun to purchase. dave |

Wouldnt buy from Buyairsoft from what i've heard around the forums.
you probably know you could get age verified and buy from the classifieds, im sure there are alot of hot deals on good stuff. better then aftermath.... anywho, its your choice.

they are exactly the same gun with exception to the furniture.
sirmailorder has the kraken for 160. it is the od green furuniture with a clear reciever. have one as a loaner gun... and all i have to say is she'll do just fine... not as nice as a TM but if you dont mind the plastic feel and the aweful looks, its' a decent shooting gun for cheap. and they're not as fragile as everyone makes them out to be. jsut remember it's mostly plastic and you'll be fine.

Nope, he's not. Anyone over 18 is capable of using google and doing their own research instead of being lazy and ignorant. Oh sorry, typo, that should be anyone over the age of 10.

People over 30 grew up without the internet. I'll let them plead ignorance.

Well, age is not really a factor. I find that stupidity and / or laziness doesn't respect any age boundaries.

I have a lycaon MP5 from them as well as a kraken from buyairsoft.ca. Both seem very adequate for the price and are amazing backups. Getting a large battery foregrip for the MP5 and a box of mags and use it as a close encounter gun when my PTW is running 450fps.

What kind of large foregrip are you getting for the MP5? where did you get it?

I wouldn't mind knowing that either. Also, has anybody tried mags other than the one supplied with the Lycoan? As a newbie airsofter I'm quickly learning that even though high cap magazines are convenient, the rattling noise is less than stealthy.
