CA m15a4

Well after dooing some reserch and talking to my dad i have decided to get an airsoft gun. Im probably going to get him to order from 007 airsoft and the one im looking at is the CA m15a4 tactical carbine. Now looking on the net i was hard presed to find an overly bad review about it and was wondering if there where any significant problems with the a4 series i should now about thanks.

007 does not have that gun in stock. And probalby get age verified. And dont get your dad to buy you a gun. Just dont.

CA is a nice make, they have some internal issues i hear. However, the externals are nice and internals are easier to replace vs a broken reciever.

And yet that doesn't answer the question Bowers. CA will need some internal work after about 1000 shots usually.

When I got my CA M15A4 Carbine I had shot close to 10,000 rounds through it (never having a problem) before I decided to open it up and try and get the velocity up a bit. Shoots about 315 FPS out of the box with 0.20's.

Get 2, one for your dad and one for him to loan you. Because a lot of people will react strongly to a minor who wants to play and has bought a gun through his parents. On the other hand, they'll be far more supportive of a parent who wants to bring his kid along and the parent is the one that owns all the guns. Think of it as good father and son time, because it is.

+1 on the parent involvement

I have the CA SPR, aside from a hopup being slighty angled funny (I...ok schwag... replaced my hopup rubber but not sure it fixed it perfectly) as a stock gun it's pretty sweet. Mines still pretty new but no problems so far.

I've got one and they're generally good. Open the mechbox, clean that jelly crap out of there and regrease it properly. or get a gunsmith to do it for you. That's the only issue I've had with my m15a4 and it's had about 8000 rounds through it.

I would get age verified if you're old enough. You can always find an m4 for cheap with extras on the buy/sell section. If you're not 18, you should wait

Thanks oh and trust me iv herd this wait till you 18 stuf alot of times since iv joined the fourm (good reasons to do that i must admit) but my reasoning is that i curently have a good job and no bills in a year when im going to college that will be diferent and i wont have the money (trust me i dont want someone ranting about if you cant find the money for it your not dedicated enough to play crap) so the way im looking at it is that i should get one while i can then have it with my dad at the farm till i can leagaly own it. thats my view on it

I get lots of stuff for my kids.

Sometimes I let them use the stuff I buy. Sometimes.

bought myself a CA M15A4 Carbine and have had no problems with it. I've never opened it up or done anything to it and I've probably shot 10,000+ rounds through it. Very reliable company I think and make a solid product. I'm sure there are more indepth reviews if you look around the forum and even on google.

Well, I have no issue with someone under 18 owning a gun if it's done with parental consent and the parent is present when the gun is used. My 8 year old son has 2 airsoft guns, a Firepower Boys M4, and a TM Boys MP5. I see nothing wrong with kids shooting as long as its done responsibly under adult supervision. Now onto the issue of the gun itself.

I have the M15A4 rifle, and it's a beautiful gun. Externally, it's about as solid as you can get. The metal is of excellent quality, as are the fibre-reinforced furniture. Now people tend to say that internal parts like the spring guide and piston assembly tend to be problematic. I've had somewhere between 15 000 and 20 000 rounds put through my STOCK gun without a hiccup.

I had mine opened up to upgrade some parts, and saw no internal wear other than very minor wear on the tappet plate where the nub on the sector gear connects with it. Otherwise, all internal parts looked like new (save for a little dirt and gear smearing from use), including the 'problematic' piston assemblies. Nonetheless, I replaced the whole compression assembly except the cylinder with Systema parts and a Prometheus spring. It's shooting a bit shy of the numbers I should be seeing, but working very well with a nice performance increase over its stock form.

I would highly recommend CA guns. This rifle has proven to me that they're reliable guns.
