KJW USP Compact .vs. WE Baby Hi-Capa .vs. WE 1911 Full metal

Allright guys!
I'm looking to buy my first GBB in a few weeks time and I need some help deciding between:

KJW USP Compact ( With metal slide )
WE Baby Hi-Capa 3.8 Type 6 ( Metal slide, metal frame )
WE M1911 Full Metal with markings

I have heard that KJW have some reliability issues, but reports have been spotty. The 2 WE guns both look beautiful but I lean heavily toward the more traditional M1911 ( I also prefer the slimmer grip of the M1911, not sure why )
The USP compact would nicely complement my G36C but it doesn't have any trademarks on it at all...

Any input on reliability / feel of the guns would be appreciated!

Also if anyone knows of any WE M1911s for sale in Canada then let me know! All of the usual sources are out of stock...

Haha, yes I figured it would be an easy way to keep tally!

Any thoughts on the reliabilty of the two brands involved?

well you guys seem to be echoing my sentiments so far... I would prefer the M1911 over anything else. The issue is that they are really hard to get hold of!

The USP is my second choice, the Hi-Capa is basically in there because it is another decently made full-metal 1911 variant.

Why the preference for KSC over KJW? I've heard of some issues with KJW but they mainly seemed fairly simple to fix. And the KSC doesn't have a metal slide! ( I want realism! )

Any of those are decent choices. I am going to warn you, however, that WE full-metal guns are fucking HEAVY.

we are gas pigs for the most part, and the cool down effect is very prodominant. kjw are garbage. the internals gum up and degrade quickly, the mags always leak and aremore often than not, unfixable. ksc are well designed and easy to fix. the metal slide is easy to get, pm jugglez or illusion, watch the classifieds. but when you install a metal slide you gas mileage goes way down with my ksc i could get six mags off a fill, with the plactic slide. when i converted to a metal, it went down to 2-3 mags.

with the tm, its all plastic but will run forever. fmu is hard to find (im currently on the prowl for my 1911). so if you go with the usp, you only need to locate a slide rather than the fmu slide and frame, and the internals are a nice compromise between great tm internals and plastic body and shitty kjw internals and fmu.

I really don't mind the gun being heavy... one of my requirements is that the weight / appearance come as close to the real-steel as possible

As long as the mag has enough gas to get all it's rounds downrange at full power that's fine.
I doubt I'll be using the pistol as a primary very often, so re-fill costs shouldn't get too crazy...

Excuse me? My KJ P229 has been through a few hundred rounds and is going strong. There are at least 2 or 3 TM P226's lately on ASC that have been acting shitty.

Although I will admit the mags are finicky. But they're very repairble, you just change the o-ring.

I have been hearing conflicting reports about KJW guns. Some people seem to never have any problems... others have leaky mags, double feeding issues etc.

I'd be interested to hear more about this as they have a great selection of models.

take note of the trigger snapping issue in the KSC USP Compact when considering it in the future.
