Tactical Thompson M1A1

I got a little bored so I started to browse through the gallery. I came across an M1A1 with a scope mounted on it. I got inspired so I fired up Photoshop and decided to add a little to the weapon.

Original:

Photoshoped Version:

Hopefully this could get someone inspired enough to modify a M1A1 to this extent.

PS. Thanks to Hortons Heros for the image.

No.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!
You do NOT do that to the Tommy Gun. Ever. It is a classic that must remain untouched.

the one thing I really wanted to do and seemed fairly easy was to add a thicker cylnder barrel and make some sort of sniper variant. Would look a little silly now with the 9mm mags but I did put a RDS on a thompson.

The Thompsons used .45 ACP

i always thought that the next evolution of the Tommy Gun was the M41A pulse rifle, i guess that could be considered a branch off that evolution, like a another species that is destined for failure. Kinda like how monkeys were split and became homo sapiens and how others remained as monkeys.

you should see my bro's Thompson, i'll see if he will post any pics. For those of you who were at OP Border wars, he had it there. It has a thicker and longer barrel machined out of alum, hes working at making it "period" yet different. I was skeptical when he told me what he was up to, but it actually looks pretty slick.

That was a pretty cool looking gun, I have to say I was impressed. Reminded me of a flame thrower lol. It will be nice to see it when it's finished.
