Which gun are you using? What do you mean by blown up? I own quite a few CA specimens. Let's talk.

Do you own an "a2" variant of the M15 line?
If so that would explain a lot. |

The only one I've had that Would have been considered explosive would be the CA25. It shucked 3 sector teeth and a bearing bushing after 2 mags. I suspect that using bearing bushings in a rifle w/ 440 fps spring to be the culprit. Albeit the real culprit being CA for selling the as said set-up w/ bearings instead of steel bushings.

I believe Enox is referring to his CA249, in which case it IS typical for a stock CA gun to break down quickly (from my own experience seeing alot of CA's break down), especially an LMG. Classic Army internals are certainly nothing to brag about, but there are a few specifically weak parts that are prone to failure (tappet, gears, piston). It does have a fantastic gearbox shell, however, and upgraded properly, a 249 can be made to be very reliable.

Also had CA36 trigger switch failure out of the box. CA33e furniture failure-(butt-stock,lower reciever near magwell, finally broke in half behind the forestock) and more recently-beware-the spring guide in the CA3 is plastic. My other rifles all have brass ones. Been thinking about trying another brand. Any suggestions? Furniture quality is a must.

well im guessing i got the golden goose of the m15a2 series ive put over 30,000 rounds through it and havnt even had so much as a misfeed and was told to buy a new spring and gears and about 300$ worth of stuff ive never needed because it was gonna break ok sure there is a little bit of a spring noise when it shoots but that doesnt affect the gun in any way. So to those who say the M15A2 series is crap i need a explanation as to why that is Cause as far as i can tell its a way better gun then a lower FPS plastic TM's.Now dont get me wrong im not tryin to start a CA/TM bitchfest i just want some concrete evidence that my M15A2 is a lesser quality gun!

It's typical for CA guns (specifically their armalite and 249 series) to break down, but not garunteed. The quality control of their parts is high for one month and drops down to crap the next, it's really poor economics on their behalf, because when your CA breaks down you buy systema or guarder parts, never CA.

Quick note...it's not just ca m249s that break. They ALL do.
Fucking horrible guns to own and work on.

I've had 3-4 CA's. Two different generation MP5's too. All were/are fantastic.
TM's break too. There's just more of them and much more fanboyism to cover it up. I don't know why, because TM's are a rip off. I don't see why it's advisable to suggest buying a plastic gun that will cost top buck with the highlight of the purchase being "well it's highly upgradable"?? Why would you WANT to have to upgrade more things? If you upgrade everythng on a TM, you're left with a few pins and switches from TM that you paid $500 for. With CA, at least you get keepable externals and if you're me, you're quite confident in the internals plus they are also more powerful On average.
