While I don't have a G36 I replaced my stock hopup in my M16 and my fps went from 340 to 380. It turns out I had a major airleak in there somewhere. I used a G&P hopup.

If your using a TM M16 you changed from a two piece hop up to a one piece hop up. Thats why you got the increase in FPS. Ive never heard of a metal hop up increasing FPS before.

It wasn't a TM 2 piece hopup that I replaced. It was an SRC metal one piece. BTW make sure you have a few different rubbers on hand when your changing the hopup. The G&P one I used was too tight and I had to use a stock TM one.

You can definitly tell a difference between different rubbers, no matter what anybody says.
