Airsoft Gun Comparison
Hey guys,
I didn't want to start a bunch of new threads, so i put my questions in 1 thread. i hope i dont get flamed for it: 1. for a primary gun, what would i be better off with; a TM M14 or a CA M14 and can i get a RAS rail shroud for the CA M14? 2. I wanted to know which compnay makes a good 6mm Mauser Kar 98k rifle 3. if i order a real wood stock for an M14, does that count as a lower reciever and thus be stopped by customs? I just discovered Warhammer 40,000 and the Death Korps of Kreig (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog...OF_KRIEG.html), so i am trying to go for that kind of look. The lasguns that they use look the most similar IMO to an M14. Thanks, Donster 125 |

Would customs stop and seize a 2x4 if you ordered one from outside Canada? It's the same thing. It's just a piece of wood. The answer is no, it would be fine.

Two versions avail, good luck with that purchase |

Assuming the CA M14 is very similar to the TM one, then yes, RAS made for TM M14 should fit the CA.
As far as I can tell, the top half of TM M14s is built very close to real steel. The mounting methods of uppers and of the RAS units are the same. |

The marushin kar98 is a shell ejecting 8mm gas gun, obviously less reliable due to the complex mech required to eject shells :\ (8mm is a bitch too)

k that is good, but for the life of me, i couldn't find one on WGC. All the Ras units were made for Marui type guns they said. Same goes for the Wood stock.

They don't revise product descriptions when a new gun comes out that can support that part. ie, the CA M14 came out long after the TM & G&G did. Almost all the M14 RAS units on the market right now showed up shortly after TM released their M14. If you want, I have a Guarder M14 in stock & for sale. Bring your CA M14 by some time and we can see if the swap can be done. It doesn't take long. |

so then the short answer is "No". I cannot get an RAS unit for the CA M14. that being said, which would you recommend for a primary gun? TM M14 or CA M14?

Uhh... actually, the short answer is: "nobody knows".
Like I said, bring the gun by some time, I have a Guarder M14 RAS in stock - we can try fitting it, doesn't take much time at all. |

k thanks. umm i actually still have to get the gun, i was just finding out which gun you would recommend, CA or the TM before i go out and purchase it. I have two looks i want to go for, but the M14 goes with both, which is why i might want to get it. But which would you recommend, the CA or the TM? And why?

I have no experience with the CA, so I couldn't say, although I don't see why you wouldn't go with TM.
Based on CA's past reputation compared to TM... I'd pick TM over CA as far as build quality and QA goes. |

Donster I'm guessing your going for the WW2, WW1 type of look / experience. Watch the Gear and Clothing for sale on here. I seen a trenchcoat just a little while ago. Not sure if they sold it.
