You know...that'd look so much better with a silver guide rod...

I agree.

In order to create a barrel bushing setup, the following parts are required:

Shooters Design Metal Slide with steel bushing channels for the locking mechanism
Shooters Design Steel Barrel Bushing
Shooters Design Steel Outer Barrel (STRAIGHT type!)
Shooters Design Steel Chamber

For more details on the barrel bushing system, see this post:

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showpos...8&postcount=28

Unfortunately, I don't know which Shooters Design slides have the barrel bushing channel. I can say for sure that the Hybrid slides, and the "MRP-OPS" slides don't have it.

Hey Shinjin, maybe you should swap out to a silver guide rod and sell the black one to...someone...

Out of curiousity - is the performance of the 5.1 maintained? A 5.1 was my first airsoft pistol, I was kind of spoiled. Only the P226 I have since was comparable, but not as accurate (could be mods). All others... lack.

yup; Illusion pretty much nailed it regarding the bushings
I also have a hybrid combo for my other hicapa setup
and well...a bushing would totally defeat the purpose of a hybrid setup

and no, you guys can go to hell; I love the all black lower and the all silver uppers on slide lock

I shot this offhand at about 20 feet, with a slight hangover, so Ill say accuracy is pretty good
two groups, top is with toytec .28's, bottom is with KSC .25's
I think I need to adjust the sights slightly...

If anything, I'd say the steel barrel bushing system improves the performance.
