Home-made/modified gear thread - pics & tips
Did a search, couldn't find a similar thread, so here one is.
Post pics of any gear you've made, modified, or little pieces of gear you've tweaked. Post solutions you've made to problems with existing gear; or show cheaper alternatives for the budget conscious. Here's a 3$ back pack that I got at a garage sale. I patched it up, replaced some buckles, made some modifications to the internal pouches, and painted it up with krylon: (It's more green in person) And here's a ghille sleeve I've made up for my Maruzen APS L96: I still have to paint it up, and dirty it up. In the works are a ghille cape/hood, and a ghillied hood for the scope on the APS. |

lol yeah I guess it is. It's one of those shell ejecting lever action ones. Bought it for fun (my lil bro has one) when I'm bored. Actually kinda entertaining.
Later I may remove the pouches on the back and add molle straps, and I'll probably also paint it again, make it more green and brown, but we'll see. |

With krylon and patience, you can pretty much make any cammo. I turned a tan dump puch into a surta-multi cam dump pouch (unfortunatly my camera is snakued so im gonna find a pic)

I just turned an awful and worn LBV black with krypton.
Need to give it another coat though. I'm considering making my own bullet proof vest out of those foam ground mattresses, velro and black nylon |
