krukspec CADPAT comments pls.
hello my friends, again i would like to have your nice comments and and not nice commennts on my new pattern.
we were able to get some other taning materials for the new colors, so we tried doing your very own CADPAT camo. colors are not the exact one just similar, so we wont have to deal with patent laws or any such rules, governing replica. this was paterned from a digital MARPAT paterns we just change the shades, so dont be shocked if you see some USMC markings on the cloth. hope we were able to get a similar color from the original CADPAT. if your comments will be favorable we will be making BDUs and combat shirts. again thankyou dexter CEO krukspec Last edited by krukspec; August 16th, 2007 at 21:03.. Material looks good. The band is dark and the loops are to widely spaced. Make sure the seams for the head band and nylon strap are both at the back. The narrow brim is great! Please use a good brim stiffner. Is the back side of the material OD Green or light?

Looks good to me, I like the short brim.. I always had to cut mine and get a seamstress to sew the band around again.
Colours look good, broken up nicely. |

more like digital flecktarn with the brown.
Oh shit. That's an awesome idea. Do digital flecktarn. |

The brown is slightly off, CADPAT has an almost pink brown more like salmon. Other than that it looks great.

I would like to suggest, if you do not mind that instead of making the hat band in olive drab to make it in the same pattern as the hat.
The coloration of the cadpat is excellent as others have already observed.

That looks good, actually. Could you post an up close pic? I'd like to see the material.

It looks really good. Someone pointed out that genuine CADPAT has an almost pinkish brown, but I think I prefer your chestnut brown over it.

Looks very close, and very nice. I'd say you just need to take some of the red tone out of the brown (so it doesn't look so close to Flecktarn brown) and some of the brightness out of the light green (so that it's not quite so close to the real stuff) - and maybe darken the darker green slightly.
Of course, all of this is based on what I see on screen - so it might be completely wrong. ;-)

The real colors values are classified. But it should look like this.
Black 31 % Medium green 48 % Light green 17 % Tan 3 % |
