M4A1 Forgrip Question
I have a CA OD M4 Handguard set which doesnt seem to fit into my existing delta ring set for my RIS. Is this normal? I was always under the assumption that RIS units and Handguards are swappable using the same Delta Ring set. Would i be able to use these handguards in a King Arms CASV Delta ring set?

As far as I know, Classic Army has Aftermarket Handgaurd sets. If so, then the gun could very well not be CA. He has a right to ask.

The gun is not CA, I was under the assumption that all handguards were the same :s
I bought the handguards seperately NIB. It just doesnt fit. If i buy a King Arms CASV, would the CA Handguards fit? |

Nope. Can't fit any handguards or RIS designed for an M4 onto an M733 without swapping the entire outer barrel for an M4 barrel. The M733's barrel has the front sight mounted about 1/2" farther forward - M4 foregrips, RAS panels and anything else secured by the front handguard cap will just fall right out. On the flip side, M733-designed stuff can be made to fit M4's with a file or dremel. I found out the hard way.

Nono, im not using an commando or a CQB length outer barrel.
Its an M4 Length Barrel with a RIS Unit. The handguards I bought are also for an M4 but the RIS unit has a funny pin on the 12 and 6 positions of the delta ring. These two pins which lock the delta ring set together (with the spring inside) wont allow the handguards to fit into place because they are inside the groove where the handguard is supposed to fit /|_i_|\ The groove inside the delta ring looks kinda like that. The i being the locking pin that holds the delta ring together with the spring inside Also the Handguards are a little too big for the RIS unit. they are about 1/2 - 1 cm too large for the current RIS setup. Im REALLY hoping the KA CASV will allow it to fit else i ordered a brand new handguard for no reason T.T |

Gah, the more I read the more confused I'm getting.
Want to spell out exactly what you have for a gun, etc. Cuz so far the only part I'm clear on is that the new handguard is CA. And offhand, yeah, generally speaking for the ARs, CA seems to be the odd man out for cross-compatibility.

er... so its a small pin in the delta ring thats not letting it sit? Ever think of cutting material from the hand guard to let it get in?

I was thinking of cutting it. But im replacing it with a KA CASV set, and im hoping that itll fit without modifications to the delta ring set. If it doesnt fit, i wanna be able to sell it to someone who can use it. I just wanted to be able to strip a Rail system off due to the weight for certain scenarios.

i had a similar problem. Just ended up cutting it, and the hand guard was a little to short, so a think lay of electrical tape around outer barrel where HG touches and then just taping it to the gun. A little ugly, but only noticable if you look real real close. Just waiting to buy and R.I.S for it
