ordering from the USA?

Well if this is a stupid idea, tell me, but I am wondering if ordering mags and specific parts, and hop up kits from the USA is a bad idea, is it just Guns that get stopped, or everything airsoft related?

thanks

Try to support Canadian retailers first. No problems if you obtain the items you want from within Canada.

Hopup kits and specific parts that do not resemble gun components are generally low-risk, though they've been stopped occasionally before. Mags are more iffy, but potentially doable as long as they don't contain fake bullets. Using a Canadian source is the most risk-free method, of course.

I buy all my AEGs in canada (lol, i have too) to keep importers in business, or buy used. But yeah, some sites like Ehobbyasia are too good to pass up, instead of paying double for some stuff.

about the fake bullets, do you think they x-ray the packages? how do they know,,, just curious, in case you can answer that? or does customs go throu every package looking for contraband?

My advice would be to just avoid mags with fake bullets completely. Not that many AEGs use mags that show fake bullets anyways.

As for batteries, they're perfectly fine to order in from the US.

I wont import from USA, not worth the risk, even though its a treasure hunt to find a source in Canada, it is possible.
I waiting on a item right now, i have the tracking number, was sent on the 12 so i should get it in about a week, ordered from buyairsoft.ca btw

Try www.airsoftparts.ca for batteries. If they don't have any in stock, you can always preorder them.

i would not risk it from the US.. theres always parts in Canada you just have to look.. you can even post in the "wanted" forum.. (it worth a try someone might have just what your looking for sitting collecting dust in there closet)

Yeah i'd suggest the wanted section too, although i've only had one person respond to my many ads....but worth a shot if its a common item. If its parts you are after then i'd just e-mail the canadian retailers first, see how much it would cost etc...

I have always wanted to support the local guys, but when for example I can by one mag for my hand gun for 50 bones CA. or one of the same for 20 US. A mag for example should not be that hard to import, and I have ordered a lot of things before from the states, not airsoft related stuff, and w/t shipping and brokrage, and exchange you are still saving.
why is something like a mag, double or triple the price for us up here? It makes me not want to buy local, cause I know I am getting raped, for a new gun, being harder to get it is a different story, but for parts. they should be close to the same price of our brothers to the south. my thoughts of coarse.
