It's not all, when you turn the gun 180 deggres (shoting like a gangster ) the gas sprends on your hand. I think it too much gas given, so i have to somehow decrese it. Please help me, i don't whant to broke my pistol!

What kind of gas are you using? Are you charging the mags correctly/fully? Also, about how warm is it where you're located? With the weather here in Edmonton the way it is, my room (where I store my mags) is still pretty cold, far below the ideal temperature range for GBBs. Cold mags will exaggerate cool down problems inherent to gas guns and result in poor performance and gas mileage. If you have long (49 round) mags, they tend to perform better in the cold simply from having much greater gas capacity.
Don't shoot your gun sideways. It releases fast cooling liquid directly into the gun, and would likely cause damage similar to venting the mag with the button on the back (frozen seals and the like). Also, the hopup will badly skew shots made from anything other than a correct vertical angle. Firing sideways also expends MUCH more gas with no gains in performance whatsoever (even though more gas is expelled, the rocket valve will close under similar pressures, so the BB will be propelled with roughly equivalent force and the rest of the gas wasted venting on blowback). *edit: You know, I was just thinking about this today... The whole no increased fps bit made sense to me when I was considering the way the gun works, but there are plenty of contradicting examples high flow valves and enhanced hammer springs all work by releasing more gas which apparently does make it past the floating valve to improve fps. Still, don't shoot your gun sideways! It's still more likely to cause damage and poor gas efficiently than firing it in the correct orientation.

Make sure you're filling the mag correctly (bottle vertically on top of the mag, not the other way around).
And like Tuna said, don't fire it sideways. |

I found the problem, is the mag, when you but your finger on the chamber (the hole where gas go out) and push the valve, the gas come out normal, but when you put it upside down, and put the finger on the chamber, and push the valve, the liquid gas come out on the finger (cold )... So whant could i do to ignore it? Maybe my gas is bad? I using this one http://airsoft.cz/shop/images/gas1000ultra_m.jpg but not red, GREEN! Maybe i put to much of gas, or it not mixed or someting?

Nothing is wrong with the gas. The gun is not designed to shoot sideways.
The solution to the problem is: Don't be a gangster.

Exactly. What happens when you have half a glass of water and hold it upright? Now what happens when you hold the glass of water 'gangsta style'? Propane is a liquid that turns to a gas. The problem isn't with the gun or the gas, the problem lies behind the gun itself.

Well, this is no use to do something? Really is stupid, when you in battle, and if you need to fire in gun back (laying on the back) and the gas flow on your hand... crap! =] Some one have this glock? Its same trouble to you or no?

Here's a solution. Get a Glock 18c AEP. Besides, how often are you on your back to fire your gun unless you're trying to pull a John Woo move or something? And yes, I have an GBB Glock 18c and no I don't have that problem because I don't fire it like that.

When you fire that way you get gas on your hands. I don't have a KSC G18C, but I have a pair of KSC G19s and they would have the same problem if shot like that.
JTF2, there have been times I've shot while on my back, mainly because I dodged a stream of BBs and ended up on my back (recall once my AEG got hit but I didn't) so I drew my G19 and fired at the guys who shot at me. I got one and the other buggered off, so my tactic worked. |

So when you do like John woo movie (back side) gun does that or nop?

Any gas pistol will do that due to the chemical properties of propane. It is not a problem you can fix.
I don't know about everyone else, but I can lie on my back and fire my GBB down towards my feet without needing to hold it sideways or upside down. It sounds like the OP is trying to do some John Woo move and trying to look cool. Last edited by vatek; April 12th, 2007 at 16:23.. |
