CAM15A4 compatability issues.

I just bought a CAM15A4 CQB and im looking over sites for some potential project ideas. Seems like im starting to notice that one RIS or stock that would fit a TM or a G&G might not fit a CA. So what inconsistencies can i look for, like why cant i use a King Arms CASV Handguard Set on a CA, but i can on a TM, or will i be able to use a stock thats compatible on a TM on a CA, or are the buffer tubes different? If anyone can fill in some questions, id be very happy. having trouble searching around...

I have a KA M.R.E on my CA, fits perfectly fine.

I read it before on ASC, CA's body is more accurate to real steel than TM.

FACT. The differences between my TM's body, and my SR-16 hurricane body are wayy too easy to spot. I don't think TM (old type) was scale 1:1..

No AEGs are, other than systema. Hell even TM AR Mags aren't 1:1 hence why you can't find 2 mags with magpulls in most mag pouches. The body, and grip were made larger to accomodate the motor and mechbox.

for the CASV I'm not sure. I think the issue was the snout on the upper (the threaded portion that the delta collar attaches to) is too short? Or something to that effect.... Too long perhaps?

CASV kit should fit just fine. You don't even need to remove the rear handguard ring or barrel nut. The CASV upper fits right inside the collar and the top attaches to the flat-top rail.

King Arms CASV fits real steel, Systema, ICS and G&P that I've tried. No issues, other than the strength of the weld-spring on Systema and real Bushmaster ARs.

well im trying to build a Noveske N4 10.5, and they just use cranestocks. I might use a modstock, but not a magpul.

actually since i know the CASV will work i could move the battery up front....

This issue has been brought up a lot lately. People who want to upgrade their CA M15A4 series externally aren't sure if they can do it with other brand's aftermarket accessories, besides the CA accessories. Some GP front ends fit, some don't. I think we should set this as a sticky, and someone needs to have visual images of the main reason why we need to modify the CA metal body to make any other brand's accessories fit. just my opinion...

hey bud,
I was doing some research, and I found this interesting setup from Evike.com
http://store.matrixbb.com/servlet/-s...-Desert/Detail

On the WGC website, they say that both KA and Proud CASV would not fit, however, I think that is misinformation. I am sure you can get CASV to fit on the M15A4 without a problem. Maybe a minor modification, but it shouldn't be THAT much of a problem. Maybe the Delta ring is too long or the RAS width's are too wide? In any case, it shouldn't be that much of a difference.
I have also seen some people installing a Hurricane M4 metal body onto the M15A4, and then install different compatible RAS front ends to it here in US forums.

I really want to do the CASV setup too, but I just bought a CA M4 SIR :P I'll let you know how that went. Trying to see if a battery will fit in there.

I want any other RAS than the stock one. Even a nitro rail would make me happy.
