Looks nice, but the thing that bugs me most about the Hurricane kit is that they don't include the RIS front sight and you'd have to purchase that separately. Really doesn't make sense to me if you plan on doing the 10.5" version.

Thing is, if you decide to purchase the HK416 sight set, you'd have to buy the rear sight as well, but you already have that from the Hurricane kit. And who's going to buy a rear H&K style rear sight off you?

Blah.

It's the standard "L" mount sitting on top of a Mad Bull RAS FIX Scope Raiser mount. http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=205

Did he get the V2 kit with the notch for the RIS and body? I'm kinda pissed that mine doesn't have the notch but some locktite on the delta ring seems to fix the RIS from shifting.

Yeah that's the V2... V1's were discontinued several months, i believe there were only 150 or so units ever made. If you look at the unique serial number on the selector switch side it will tell you the kit's manufacturing no. My V1 is no 66... the V2 up there is No. 435

Hey just to let everyone know Jugglez and his airsoft parts canada are the bomb. He knows what customer service is about. Every PM and email replied too and thats rare for airsoft stores.
For all you airsoft parts make sure you check out his site.

So why a hurricane kit from Jugglez.
I purchased a VFC HK416DX on ebay and sent it to my brother in Florida.
I used for a week while on vaction down there a few weeks ago. Nice gun but to get one in Canada about $1300 to my door. Then I would need to get a tight bore, spring, wired to rear with hurricane stock, and pay to have it installed. So lets say $1600 +.
Or you could order a Hurricane HK416 from Jugglez for less than the stock VFC HK416 depending on your options. Mine was a little more with a battery and some upgraded parts. You do the math.

I will do a review in a few weeks after I get some games in with it.

I couldn't agree more with Jugglez's customer service. It is indeed top-notch.

However, your pricing is a little off.

The VFC HK416DX is $1095 from A&A (only retailer I've found that lists the price). Last time I checked they shot 350fps with 0.2g BBs out of the box. So why do need to upgrade? True you'd still "need" to get a rear battery buttstock, but that cost is offset with the fact that you'd still need a drop-in mechbox for the Hurricane kit.

Now let's look at the Hurricane kit. In addition to the aforementioned mechbox, you would need an inner barrel to go along with the Hurricane kit and other small tid-bits.

The VFC features a bolt-lock feature that lets you lock the hop-up door open and release via the bolt release lever. MUCH more realistic. Also the VFC has a COMPLETE set of sights like I mentioned in my post above.

Advantage of the Hurricane kit is that you know exactly what you're putting into the gun, whereas with VFC you don't know the quality of the internals. Disadvantage is that installation is for somewhat experienced gunsmiths (vs. people who just want a working HK416 out of the box). Build quality is apparently "quite good" with Hurricane, but according to VFC owners, theirs is "quite good" as well.

No, I don't own the VFC HK416, and yes I've done my research.

From A&A to my door VFC HK416DX is $1249 with tax, shipping and no battery. My VFC HK416D10RS with a battery and a bag of BBs was $500 Canadian to my brothers door in Florida. Just because people charge double or more for a gun in Canada does not mean its worth it. So if you need your gun to have a more real front sight you can pay $1250 for a stock gun that has electricial problems and shoots 315-320 FPS.

I will on the other hand will take my $1300 and buy a hurricane kit from Jugglez and have a gun that shoots 380FPS on .2s. That has a systema gear box, tight bore, wired to rear hurricane stock with a battery and delivery included. IMO

As for me
