NEED HELP mc 51 Collapsible stock

I have 3 questions here NEED HELP

I `m looking to finish a mc 51 project but I want to use a real steal Collapsible stock.
The reason I want to buy the real steal is that It’s tuff and won’t` break on me. I know it’s illegal and I can’t by it threw the US (like most fun stuff I would love to buy). But is it illegal to own in Canada?


2.
Does anyone know a phone# or department that I can call that won’t give me the run around. To know if it’s illegal to order threw a store

3.
anyone own one or knows how I can buy one

correct me if im wrong but the original collasible stock is metal ? I have to look around my house to find my old one but I think it was metal

I sure as hell would not try to import real machine gun parts (or furniture) from anywhere. That is basic common sense.

Not true, if you owned one of these "prohibited" guns before they were deemed so, you would be issued a "Prohibited" status license. You can not acquire more of them, but you can keep and maintain the ones you have. This is getting a big stink around it because, people want the FN FAL that some folks have completely removed from society here in Canada. Cause it looks scary


If you go to a gunsmith, and you have this license, there is a good probability they will help you in getting the parts. They may not order it individually themselves, but know someone who can. This is a stock Greylocks, its not a firing chamber, or a barrel, or a body, just a stock.

If stocks were on the hit list, then why is it I can order any stock from WGC or UNCompany and not have to worry? I got my full metal folding stock for my M4 through the UNCompany order.

And there are no regulations or rules against folding, collapsing, telescopic or what ever other way you can think of shifting a stock in Canada. You can cut the stock off a real-steel, and have it like a pistol grip. As long as the barrel remains minimum regulation length.

I don't see why you shouldnt be able to order that part from the states - I've previously imported real steel CETME, AK47, AK74 and M14 furniture/parts from the states without any problems at all.

The only issue may be due to recent changes wrt exporting in the states. Perhaps a phone call with a retailer down south to inquire if they have any problems shipping to Canada.

Sorry but his question is not if it would be cost effective to do so, it is if it is LEGAL to have this stock imported.

Now if you can't answer the question just do like me and keep from telling him not to do so because it would be too expensive.

A business may export or import a firearm, prohibited weapon, restricted weapon, prohibited device, component or part designed exclusively for use in the manufacture of or assembly into an automatic firearm or prohibited ammunition only if the business holds an authorization to export or an authorization to import.

So ya in theory a gunsmith could import this stock for you. He will have to delare the use he will make of it. Probably possible to explain the situation to the gunsmith and he will agree to import it...

Now the only thing you have to do is gather some money and go talk with the gunsmith you chose.

So here is the update to my project. ( in case people would be a similar situation and wants to save some time
I call Marstar Canada ( www.marstar.ca ) – they told me to call another company call Fn Sports ( http://www.fnsports.com/en/contact.php ) they told me to call a dealer in Ottawa “ that’s where I live” called Sports Action 2000 – I talk to a man and told him that I’m look for the g3 stock – for paintball of course, 15 min latercalled me back and I quote “ your in a serious world of shit” told he couldn’t because it was illegal and I risk going go to jail if I ever had that in my possession. I thought to my self WTF ! Like Kokanee mention in the post how can I order for UN Company a slither stock and not be able to order the real deal?

So I call OUR 1- 800 –O-Canada from Service Canada to be direct to New-Brunswick to call 1-800-731-4000 (Canada Firearms Centre) www.cfc-cafc.gc.ca . waited for 30 min on hold to be told they didn’t know and transferred to a gun Tech in Ottawa. Waited 20 min hung up and called again to find out it was closed. They gave me the direct extension 1060 to talk to one of the few people in Canada you can call from the RCMP Weapons Forensics and gun identification and classification in Canada. Basically…they do a CD rom for CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) to tell them what is legal and not and help in the legal matters in Court.

So will call these people tomorrow.
