Eye wear
Can I use skiing goggles while skirmishing? Would it be safe?

No. Paintball rated goggles or ballistic rated goggles or glasses only. Check with the admin on your field.

just cut the rubber away.
That way you can use paintball goggles for paintball fields and still use them for fields that don't require them. |

I currently have a pair of JT X-Fire's (purchased from Crappy Tire) and they interfere with the use of the iron sights (as most PB masks do) on my full stock SR-16. I'm just able to manage a proper sight line but it requires that I tilt my head enough to cause neck strain.
Is there a particular JT model (or other make) that would allow less restricted use of the iron sights? I don't wish to remove the face mask itself as safety is more important to me than looks. I've seen mention of the JT Spectra's tossed around here on the forums, but are they okay for use with a full stock? |

I started out with the Spectras(moved onto ESS Land Ops), I didnt have a problem using weapon sights, but than again I only used the goggles, tossed out the facemask pieces of it as soon as I bought the goggles.

As someone mentioned, be sure to check with your local field and see what their requirements are.
If paintball goggles are not required try something like THESE ... Only cost $14.99 at Canadian Tire and I've used em plenty of times with no issues. Well I'd suggest using a strap since mine were actually pulled off my face once in the bushes which could have resulted in a serious injury. As for coverage and comfort they are excellent and don't fog. I'm wearing them in this photo here ...
